Key Demographics
 Age range – 16 to 24 years old
o Education – Secondaryschool, Sixth Form, College,
University
Key Psychographics
 Deals with technology daily, access to social media
 The explorer - they like to discover new things and are attracted to new or
innovated brands, products, and experiments. This psychographic is targeted as they
like to explore new trends and experiments and they would be the perfect group to try
an experiment where they do not use their mobile which could inspire others.
 The Aspire - They want status brands that shows their place in society. They are
happy to invest in luxury goods. They consider themselves stylish on trend. This
psychographic is targeted as they like to follow trends and I believe that this
documentary would be suitable for them as they are more likely to use this
information to spread it around and look more informed.
 The Mainstream – mainstreams make up 40% of the population, they like tried
and trusted brands that are value for money, they like to think that they are part of a
larger group of like-minded people and are less likely to take risks. This
psychographic is target as they like trusted brand which the BBC is and many
mainstreams like to also follow trends and no more about certain subject than others.
Challenges
 They face pressure from social media as they see many media posts and compare to
social media posts
 Cyber bullying
 Anxiety, using their phone as a crutch
 Not understand the true way social media works
Preferred Channels
 Mian source is social media especially Instagram, snapchat and tik took as many of
the target audience have access and use it a lot in their daily life.
