In the united states, The Motion Picture Association of America’s (MPAA) have a film
rating system in which its territories are to rate a film’s suitability for certain audiences
based on its content. However the MPAA rating system is not enforced by the law,
meaning that it is a voluntary scheme. However my group have decided to use them
because most film theatres refuse to exhibit non-rated or NC-17 rated films. Before we
film our video, we’ll ensure that our product is suitable for our specific target audience.
