The target audience formyfilmwill be anyone one from12A and upwardsto
people aroundthe age of 40. The youngerage audience isbroughtinbecause of
the comedicelementbetweenthe twoofficers thatwouldbe inthe filmandnot
justa more seriousstoryline.Mydesire behindthe entire filmistoshow off the
relationshipbetween partnersinthe Police andhow theirfriendshipisatthe
centre of everythingthattheydo.Because of the multiple areasof focuseson
thisfilm,the targetaudience isbroadened.
A stereotypicalaudience foraPolice Fictionfilm will have apassionorat leastan
enjoymentforPolicerelatedfilms/clips.This isobviously becausemyfilm
revolvesaroundthe relationshipandworklife of two Police Officers. Theywould
probablybe teenagersandyoungadultsbecause of the similaritiestofilmslike
‘22 JumpStreet’and‘LetsBe Cops’ bywhere theirmaintargetaudience isyoung
people whoenjoyactionbutwithacomedicelement. There ishowever, no
reasonas to whythe older,adultgenerationcouldn’tenjoyfilmslike thistoo,but
the mainaudience isyoungpeople. There are noethnicrestrictionstoa
sterotypical targetaudience forPolice Fictionfilmsandpeople fromall ethnic
backgroundswouldenjoymyfilm.
Filmslike mine are alsosimilartoseriessuchas ‘Hawaii Five-0’and‘NCISLA’in
whichthe two partnersare bestfriendsaswell aspartners.The comedicelements
and modernbanterinbothseriesandfilms isasrelativelymodernconceptto
include asopposedtothe olderclassicPolice filmssuchas ‘FrenchConnection’.
Social mediawill be akeypart of the spreadingof the wordaboutmy filmbecause
the genre appealstomainlyyoungeraudiences whoare the mainusersof social
media. The more popularthe filmbecomes,the more social mediawillpromote it
througheithersponsoredadvertorpeople uploadingtosocial mediaaboutit. Youngpeople relate
to youngeractorsmore sochosingthe actors I did wouldbenefitthe spreadof myfilmthrough
social mediabecause the mainsocial mediauserswill enjoythe filmmore.

A stereotypicalaudience foraPolice Fictionfilm will have apassionorat leastan enjoymentforPolicerelatedfilms/clips.This isobviously becausemyfilm revolvesaroundthe relationshipandworklife of two Police Officers. Theywould probablybe teenagersandyoungadultsbecause of the similaritiestofilmslike ‘22 JumpStreet’and‘LetsBe Cops’ bywhere theirmaintargetaudience isyoung people whoenjoyactionbutwithacomedicelement. There ishowever, no reasonas to whythe older,adultgenerationcouldn’tenjoyfilmslike thistoo,but the mainaudience isyoungpeople. There are noethnicrestrictionstoa sterotypical targetaudience forPolice Fictionfilmsandpeople fromall ethnic backgroundswouldenjoymyfilm. Filmslike mine are alsosimilartoseriessuchas ‘Hawaii Five-0’and‘NCISLA’in whichthe two partnersare bestfriendsaswell aspartners.The comedicelements and modernbanterinbothseriesandfilms isasrelativelymodernconceptto include asopposedtothe olderclassicPolice filmssuchas ‘FrenchConnection’. Social mediawill be akeypart of the spreadingof the wordaboutmy filmbecause the genre appealstomainlyyoungeraudiences whoare the mainusersof social media. The more popularthe filmbecomes,the more social mediawillpromote it througheithersponsoredadvertorpeople uploadingtosocial mediaaboutit. Youngpeople relate to youngeractorsmore sochosingthe actors I did wouldbenefitthe spreadof myfilmthrough social mediabecause the mainsocial mediauserswill enjoythe filmmore.
