My proposal for Cut with Glass

film
‘Cut with glass’
A gritty British crime
film

2. The aim and purpose of the product
With my film I aim to take the idea of big drug
wars and violence surrounding drug out of the
norm, for the centre of the big city to a more
rural area where the police aren't quite so hot
on their toes. trying to get the audience to
realize drugs aren't just a big city problem.

3. The entire film would be about an hour
and forty-five minutes but my intro will
be about a minute and a half.
I will have several document which I will
upload to my blog and the end of the
course.

4. Audience
Target Audience:
Television demographics:
M3; men between the ages of 16-34
Mainly teenagers, in education. In a big town or big city, because they could
relate to the concepts of drugs in towns and cities. They would watch to
gain a thrill for an exaggerated version of something they may see in their
lives. I consider all Socio-economic groups to be part of my audience since
it is a younger adults group and social groups are less formed and
important at these ages. I would think my film would be slightly more for
D10 and F14/15/16/17 ACORN as they could have a more likely chance of
seeing things like this in there lives and then relate better and be drawn in
more.
Lifestyle groupings:
Cowboys. I think some would like this film because of the illegal money
making aspect of it and the importance of wealth in this film.
Dropouts. It thinks they would like this film because of the lack of formal
commitment to work life and the real work world in anyway.
Innovators. They could like this film because of the protagonist and his story
of getting to the top; they would emote and relate themselves to him.
Rebels. Would like this film because of it anti rules style and it anti-hero style
protagonist.

5. Plot outline
Drug dealer Chris (Me – Connor) trying to get it to the ‘big leagues’ but
moral and emotions getting in the way, it has come to his attention that
his mutual respect bigger dealer team, Alfa and Dudley (Alfa and Dudley)
have now become rivals after discovering Chris had been adding fine
crushed glass to his Coke to add to its weight so it would sell for a higher
price, after Chris learns of his new threat he tries to keep a low profile,
but needing money he starts to do small dealing again, it doesn’t take
long for Alfa and Jude to find out, stalking Chris, they stake out on one of
his ‘pick ups’, kind nap Chris and the man he was picking up from (rowan)
to be sure it was Chris adding the glass. Awaking tied up in Alfa and Jude’s
hide out, with rowan dead in the corner it seems all hope is lost for Chris,
but a different type of deal is struck, giving Chris a second chance and
eventually a ticket to the top.
