About 12.5 million years ago:
Man could use stones to
'manufacture' spears and
other implements for hunting
and harvesting food. E.g the
hand axe
The species at that time
was homo habilis (also
known as hominids). An
adult homid had the
intelligence level of today's
3-5 year old child

similar to knives. Spears and
arrows were used for war.

This was the period when
man discovered how to
use copper and its alloy,
bronze, as the main hard

discovered how to
put down his
thoughts and ideas in

ago in Egypt

have grown in power, capacity and speed.
But the physical size and cost is continually
coming down
This has led to the classification of several
generations of computers
