Tai-Chi Chuan (TCC) Tai-Chi Chuan (TCC) has existed for hundreds of years in China, as an exercise for health, meditation and self-defense.  It has recently attracted the attention of Americans as unique system of exercise.  TCC emphasizes a balance of Yin (empty foot) and Yang (foot with 100% body weight) and is performed in a slow, relaxed, calm and peaceful manner without any strenuous muscular effort. All the movements are designed to encourage calm and relaxation in order to make life energy flow freely, to increase strength, vitality, flexibility and mental awareness, and to produce a feeling of tranquility and to help eliminating stresses (both mentally and physically).
How TCC Practice Can Benefit Health Conditions ,[object Object]
Regulation of the Neurosystem:  Since the basic principles of TCC are tranquility of mind and complete relaxation of all parts of the body, intensive mental concentration leads to a deep relaxation of Nervous System.
 Promotion of The Circulatory System:  During the practice of TCC, the whole body as an unit is exercised as required by TCC principles that all joints and muscle in the body to be as loose as possible and movements are gentle and slow.  As a consequence, more energy will be created and all the biometabolic pathways will be properly stimulated and regulated.,[object Object]
Strengthening the Skeletal Structure:  TCC practice requires that all the joints be as loose as possible so that the connective tissues will be exercised.
Balance of Hormone Production:  The TCC practice will help to promote healthy glands and will help to better regulate the secretion of hormones. ,[object Object]
Reducing pressure, Both Physically and Mentally.,[object Object]
Improving Blood Circulation,
Lowering Blood Pressure,
Increasing High Density Cholesterol,
Reducing Bone Density Degrading, and
Slowing Down Aging Effect.  		Some examples indicating that our current TCC practice benefitted his/hers health condition: ,[object Object]
Body Stability Improved
Looks Younger Than Others with Same Age,[object Object]
In Chin Dynasty, TCC Master Chen Chang-Hsin (in Chen Chia Guo, Wen County, Ho-Nan Province, China) developed Chen’s TCC and taught many students and followers, including his sons and grandsons .
Because each student had different understanding and practice experience, TCC was modified.,[object Object]
Yang’s TCC: Initiated by Master Yang Lu-Zhien and mastered by his sons and grandson and students. ,[object Object],[object Object],[object Object]

Correctness of TCC Practice:  	The criteria used for judging the correctness of someone’s TCC practice are TCC principles written by Master Chang San Feng and TCC theory written by Master Wang Chung-Yue, but not by the postures demonstrated by someones (teachers, so-called TCC masters, etc.).

  • 2. Tai-Chi Chuan (TCC) Tai-Chi Chuan (TCC) has existed for hundreds of years in China, as an exercise for health, meditation and self-defense. It has recently attracted the attention of Americans as unique system of exercise. TCC emphasizes a balance of Yin (empty foot) and Yang (foot with 100% body weight) and is performed in a slow, relaxed, calm and peaceful manner without any strenuous muscular effort. All the movements are designed to encourage calm and relaxation in order to make life energy flow freely, to increase strength, vitality, flexibility and mental awareness, and to produce a feeling of tranquility and to help eliminating stresses (both mentally and physically).

  • 4. Regulation of the Neurosystem: Since the basic principles of TCC are tranquility of mind and complete relaxation of all parts of the body, intensive mental concentration leads to a deep relaxation of Nervous System.

  • 6. Strengthening the Skeletal Structure: TCC practice requires that all the joints be as loose as possible so that the connective tissues will be exercised.

  • 16. In Chin Dynasty, TCC Master Chen Chang-Hsin (in Chen Chia Guo, Wen County, Ho-Nan Province, China) developed Chen’s TCC and taught many students and followers, including his sons and grandsons .

  • 20. Correctness of TCC Practice: The criteria used for judging the correctness of someone’s TCC practice are TCC principles written by Master Chang San Feng and TCC theory written by Master Wang Chung-Yue, but not by the postures demonstrated by someones (teachers, so-called TCC masters, etc.).

  • 38. There are nine major joints in a human body: wrist, elbow, shoulder, neck, chest, waist, hip joint, knee, and ankle. The purpose of this health enhancement exercise is to open and lubricate all these joints in order to improve blood circulation, body sensitivity, body relaxation, and body stability.

The instruction material for practicing these exercises is based on the Ming Dynasty health improvement methods and Tai-Chi principles, and all the movements are soft, gentle, relaxed and slow. These movements are similar to TCC movements, but emphasizes joint exercise. Usually, the practice of this exercise is to be completed about one hour or more.
