This paper discusses the implementation of a maximum power point tracking (MPPT) system for photovoltaic (PV) systems using a SEPIC converter to minimize input current ripples. The findings indicate that the SEPIC converter outperforms conventional boost converters in reducing current ripples while ensuring efficient power output under varying environmental conditions. The study also details the simulation results achieved through MATLAB/Simulink, confirming the effectiveness of the proposed MPPT technique.
