In order to continue with synthesis essay practice, you will construct your own synthesis
bundle.
You will be required to:
□ Choose a topic to read about/research/eventually write a synthesis
essay about
□ Establish your own prompt for a synthesis essay
□ Find 5 sources that could be used to support or negate your thesis
statement. You may select excerpts from:
 Journals
 Reviews
 Advertisements/Art
 Articles
 Interviews
 Books
At least one of your 5 sources MUST be a visual (cartoon, painting,
illustration, photograph, advertisement)
□ Sources should be copied or printed into the prompt format of the AP
Language Exam. (This includes the citation)
□ Label each with the citation information and with the source letters.
