The reflections suggest the project has helped students and tutors begin journeys with new educational technologies.

Connexions Authoring Tool – Daniel Williamson, project manager of the OpenStax project at Connexions, will demonstrate the new Connexions repository authoring tool which provides a seamless development to distribution workflow for OER creation.
Pressbooks Authoring – Adrienne Watt, a Computer and Business instructor at both Douglas College and Northwest Community College in British Columbia will discuss and demonstrate the BCcampus Pressbooks platform that she and other instructors in British Columbia have used to develop open textbooks.

KlasCement: Educational social network with OER content
KlasCement is a social network and portal for teachers to exchange learning objects and best practices. It aims to stimulate cooperation between educators by allowing users to generate and share content, as well as communicate. The portal has over 67,000 users who can search, view, download, reuse and comment on the 26,350 learning objects uploaded by teachers. KlasCement also features forums, newsletters and other tools to connect educators. Quality is ensured through moderation and crowd-sourcing of reviews, and the bottom-up user-generated model has made it successful in Belgium and Netherlands.
