3. • POROUS STRUCTURE
• Bamboo charcoal has numerous small pores,
when compared to other charcoal types has
about four times more cavities and its surface
area of 300m2/gram is 10 ten times more.

• Carbon: 80–85 per cent
• Ash: 4.5–6.5 per cent
• Moisture: 6–9 per cent
• Calorific value: 6,900–7,000 Kcal/kg
