SOUTHEAST ASIA

 This survey was conducted to study about ride sharing users perception
after Uber in Southeast Asia has been bought by Grab
 Methodology: Online survey
 Fieldwork time: 5 days (05/04/2018 to 09/04/2018)
 Sample size: N = 3,236
 Geography: Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia

KEY FINDINGS
• Grab is popular in three countries, however Go-Jek slightly more popular than Grab in Indonesia
• The brand use most often in Vietnam (76%) and Thailand is Grab (45%),
while in Indonesia is Go-Jek (56%)
• Each countries have different reason why they use online transportation, Vietnam use because of
the price is cheaper (75%), Thailand because of more comfortable (68%), and Indonesia because of
more practical (75%)
• Consistently, Daily commute (Hanging out and going to work/ school) is the most often occasion for
using online transport in over 3 countries
• Most of people aware that Uber in Southeast Asia has been bought by Grab, the highest awareness
come from Vietnam (86%), followed by Indonesia (77%) and Thailand (62%)
• Vietnam (71%) and Thailand (54%) will use Grab, while in Indonesia will be split to use Go-Jek
(53%) and Grab (40%)

SCOPE OF WORK  This survey was conducted to study about ride sharing users perception after Uber in Southeast Asia has been bought by Grab  Methodology: Online survey  Fieldwork time: 5 days (05/04/2018 to 09/04/2018)  Sample size: N = 3,236  Geography: Vietnam, Thailand, Indonesia

KEY FINDINGS • Grab is popular in three countries, however Go-Jek slightly more popular than Grab in Indonesia • The brand use most often in Vietnam (76%) and Thailand is Grab (45%), while in Indonesia is Go-Jek (56%) • Each countries have different reason why they use online transportation, Vietnam use because of the price is cheaper (75%), Thailand because of more comfortable (68%), and Indonesia because of more practical (75%) • Consistently, Daily commute (Hanging out and going to work/ school) is the most often occasion for using online transport in over 3 countries • Most of people aware that Uber in Southeast Asia has been bought by Grab, the highest awareness come from Vietnam (86%), followed by Indonesia (77%) and Thailand (62%) • Vietnam (71%) and Thailand (54%) will use Grab, while in Indonesia will be split to use Go-Jek (53%) and Grab (40%)
