FIELD VISIT
INTERACTION WITH FARMERS
PROBLEMS OF FARMERS-
 Problem of rainfall
 Problem of Water (only some have
tubewell).
 High problem of Nilgay. In the present
government the no of cowshed has
increased because of that people are
releasing their cattle to nearby field
which destruct the crops of farmers.
 In my area Varanasi people generally
grow two crops Wheat & Rice mainly.
 Fragmented land
 Lack of information.
 Not getting enough price for their
produce.
 Not have any storage facilities for
perishable crops once harvested have
to sell at low price.
 Some of the cooperatives are there
but still it is not functioning as per
rule there leader win by money & sell
their own people crops & small
farmer face the problems.
SOLUTION
 Fencing wire & border crop can
help in protecting from cattles.
 For Water Problem Groups of 4-5
near farmer can together set a
tubewell in their field this will
help all of them.
 For storage they can ask from
their Village Pradhan for space &
money. They can create small
storage together.
 For better price they can sell their
produce in groups on whom they
can trust.
 To be aware about various govt
schemes and subsidies .

TOWEL PAPER METHOD
Established: October 2005
MY LEARNING-
 Moisture Meter is used to measure seed
moisture content. It is quick & easy
method that can be used in field or
processing unit.
 PRINCIPLE- The device measures the
resistance offered by seed to electricity.
The flow of electricity is measured by
voltmeter & is converted into moisture
percent.
MOISTURE METER
SEED TESTING PROCESS
Established: October 2005
Major Activities of NSRTC:
Acts as a Referral laboratory for litigation
matters
Provides Technical support to Seed testing
labs
Collects data continually on the quality of
seeds found in the market for the central seed
committee

MY PAST
v
s MY PRESENT
In Past I have only
theoretical knowledge /
bookish knowledge .
Now I know practical use of that
knowledge real life implementation of
that knowledge.
When I see the potential of
agri-industry it seem me
unprofitable & boring.
But now my mindset has changed I’m
very much interested in working in this
industry especially in E- business (D
to C).
Well Today I know this industry has
high potential as an entrepreneur &
startups .
In coming year this is economy
changing industry.
In Past I’m not aware of
farmer real problems
Now I’m aware of farmer problem &
try to give the solution at my level
best.
CONCLUSION
 This industry has high potential of innovation .
 There is a need of filling a gap between specialist & illiterate farmer.
 Policies are many but there implementation at ground level is
missing.
 Every system has scope to improve we have to find that
 Being part of this industry I’m very much blessed & In life I will
contribute as much as possible.
 This industry has high potential to change the economy of nation just
we have to find the way.
