accelerated due to factors such as agriculture and urbanization. Information regarding land use and
cover is essential for various planning and management tasks related to the Earth's surface,
providing crucial environmental data for scientific, resource management, policy purposes, and
diverse human activities.

of any area. Consequently, a wide range of professionals, including earth system scientists, land

- 4. Introduction The respiratory system is a Biological system consisting of specific organs and structures used for the process of respiration in an organism. The respiratory system is involved in the intake and exchange of oxygen and carbon dioxide between an organism and the environment.
- 6. Parts of Respiratory System Nostrils The openings through which air enters the body. The minute hairs and mucus in the nostrils prevents the entry of dust and harmful germs into the lungs.
- 7. Nasal Cavity The chamber following the nostrils. It opens to pharynx.
- 8. Epiglottis The oesophagus and trachea started at the pharynx. So there is a chance for food to enter the trachea. It is the epiglottis that prevents.
- 9. Trachea Starts at the pharynx . It is made up of complete ring of cartilage. There are cilia and mucus in this.
- 10. Bronchi Two branches of trachea. Each opens into a lung on each side. Lungs Two lungs . Found on either side of the heart in thoracic cavity
- 11. Pleura Double membrane covering the lung. There is a fluid between these membranes. The fluid reduces friction when the lungs contract and relax. Bronchioles Branches of the bronchi. Carry air into the alveoli
- 12. Alveoli Each bronchiole ends in a group of alveoli. The lung is made up of alveoli. There are blood capillaries covering the alveoli. Exchange of gases takes place at the alveoli.
