Stingrays are carnivorous bottom-dwelling fish that feed on a variety of prey found on or near the seafloor like mollusks, crustaceans, and small fish. They use their powerful jaws and teeth to crush shells and detect prey via electrical signals. Stingrays come in many sizes from small species less than a foot wide to large manta rays over 20 feet wide. They are found worldwide in tropical, subtropical and temperate coastal waters where they use their camouflage to ambush prey and hide from predators on the seafloor. Stingrays are known for their venomous tail spines which they use for defense when threatened.

A Strategic Approach: GenAI in EducationPeter Windle
Artificial Intelligence (AI) technologies such as Generative AI, Image Generators and Large Language Models have had a dramatic impact on teaching, learning and assessment over the past 18 months. The most immediate threat AI posed was to Academic Integrity with Higher Education Institutes (HEIs) focusing their efforts on combating the use of GenAI in assessment. Guidelines were developed for staff and students, policies put in place too. Innovative educators have forged paths in the use of Generative AI for teaching, learning and assessments leading to pockets of transformation springing up across HEIs, often with little or no top-down guidance, support or direction.
This Gasta posits a strategic approach to integrating AI into HEIs to prepare staff, students and the curriculum for an evolving world and workplace. We will highlight the advantages of working with these technologies beyond the realm of teaching, learning and assessment by considering prompt engineering skills, industry impact, curriculum changes, and the need for staff upskilling. In contrast, not engaging strategically with Generative AI poses risks, including falling behind peers, missed opportunities and failing to ensure our graduates remain employable. The rapid evolution of AI technologies necessitates a proactive and strategic approach if we are to remain relevant.

Stringray Report
________________________________________________________________________________
___________
Stingrays are carnovires which means that they can only eat meat. The food the
stingray will eat are oysters, shirmps, crabs and they can also eat mussels. A
stingway can crush their food by using their very strong jaws to crash their
prey. Stingrays can also feed on bottom-dwelling fish. Lots of species of ray
usually have their mouths on the underside and they have a interlocking teeth
that can be pefect for grasping and they can also use this to crash their prey
to. Other species like the toothless can fliter fish and they can also eat
plankton through their slevelike gills. Stingrays can also dine on mollusks,
crustaceans, worms and on very small fish. The Manta ray can usually feed on
mosyly on very small crustaceans and in very small groups of school's of little
fish. The stingray preys on a whole variety of different types of species of
sea animals like they can prey on snails and so many other fish in the sea.
Around the stringrays mouth there are organs that can sense the natural
electrical charges of protential of prey. Lot of different types of species of
ray usually have very great jaw teeth that can easily crash any mollusks like
clams, oysters and mussels. The stingrays eyes can be seen on the top of their
head and their mouths are on the bottom of their head. These animals have very
poor eyesight so they can not see their prey instead they will have to use their
sense of smell. Their sense of small is like the same small as sharks have.
Their mouths can be a very powerful shell-crusher that is on their teeth they
usually use their teeth for smaller fish. These rays can settles on the bottom
when they are feeding on a meal. Sometimes they can leave their eyes and their
tail visible. Stingrays can be found on every ocean in the world. but they
probaby go for tropical, sub-tropical and in temperate waters these are the
waters that they usually swim and live in. The habitats that the stingray lives
in are they live in all oceans in the world. They can also be seen in estuaries.
The type of water that they like to swim is freshwaters like in streams. They
can also live in lagoons, lakes, shallow offspring waters and they can also be
found on coastlines. Stingrays are usually found in shallow coastal waters.
Their destribution is the Atlantic coasts, They can also be found near new
Jersey through Brazil, The Caribbean and in the Gulf of Mexico. The stingray can
be located in the Northeast of the Atantic and the Mediterranean sea. They are
usually found in coastal waters that are temperate in seas. These rays can also
be found in tropical waters to all around the world they rather live in slightly
deeper waters instead for the shallow waters. When the weather starts to get
cold then the stingray will retreat further into the depths of the ocean.
Stingrays really like to live in shallow waters that are near shores that is in
warm places in any parts of the world. They like to live in these places because
so that they can spend a lot of time laying partiallyed buired that is on the
bottom of the ocean floor. This is places is also the best place to hide from
predators like sharks. These places can also come in handly when they are
waiting for their prey to swim past them. The colors that is on a stingray can
easily match of the colors of the mud and the sand that are in the bottom of the
ocean floor. The common place to look for a stingray is in tropical coastal
waters all around the world. There can also be in places that has freshwater in
Asia, Africa and also in Florida. There are some species that live in the
freshwaters of South America. Stingrays can grow about 6.5 feet ( 2 meters) long
and they can weight about 790 pounds (358 kilograms). The smallest species of
ray is the Short-nose electric ray they are the size of an pancake they can only
weight about 4 inches ( 10 inches) across and they can weigh about 1 pounds
( 0.5kg). The largest ray species is the Manta ray they can grow over 22feet
(6.7m) wide and thet can weight about a tons (thousands of pounds). Stringrays
can come in so many different sizes from as small as a human palm. Like the
short-tail stingray they can grow about 6 feet across with a length this also
icludes the tail that can be tall as 14 feet. A Stingrays wingspan or their
disc-size is really about 30cm ( 12.in). The yellow stingray can go over 6.1m
(20ft,). This also the kind a size that the manta ray is to They can also grow
about 6.5ft ( 2m) and they can weigh about 790lbs (350kg). The stingray can also
2. grow about 22ft (6.8 m). The stingray's depth is 16-650ft (5-200 m). The
stingray can weigh about 8lb (30kg). The length of a stingray is 4 1/2 ft
( 1.5ft). A stingray can live about 15 to 25 years. They can also live in this
life span when they are in the wild to. These animals may not look like fish
because of their flat bodies and they are wide but these animals are really are
fish . The stingrays close relates are sharks and just like their shark cosuins
they do not have bones in them. Instead for having bones in their bodies are
being supported by cartilage that is like the same material that you can feel a
tip that is inside of your nose. These animals are mostly big and they are flat
that have pectoral fins that look like wings then fins. This is used for
propulsion. These rays really like to enjoy roaming along a seabed and sometimes
they wil be seen roaming by themselves in loose sediment they use this to
protected them selves from predators like sharks. Their organs are located
behind their eyes that is called spiracles. This can help the stingray to
breathe when they are hidden under the sand. The bat ray will usually form in a
school with seven hundred bat rays but the stringray does not live in a group or
in a family. This means that this animal is solitary and other word for being
alone. Every species of rays are all part of the superorder Batoidea this grouo
also includes so many different types of rays like the stingray, and the
electric ray. This group of animals also incdules some other different animals
to like the skate, the guitarfish and the sawfish are all part of this group.
Just like their close relatives which are sharks. that these animals have
skeletions that are made out of tough connective tissue that are called
cartilage. The stingray is will known for their stinger that is located on the
end of the rays tail. The stingray will use it's stinger to pierce through and
it will also come in hardly for stopping it's prey from escaping. The best known
ray of the ray species is the stingray they have very long, slim, whiplike tails
they are armed with serrated, venomous spines. The stingray will use it's tail
for defensive measure when they are caught in something or they are being
stepped on or in other words disturbed. They usually use their tails for
disturbed. On the back of the stingray's tail their is stinger that is used for
defense. Some other species of stingray have a spine that is located in their
tail that has a very sharp point and that has edges that are covered with
serrated or may be noteched to. A lot of species this also includes the exotic-looking
blue-spotted stingray. These rays have venoms that goes through their
tails. This venom and their spines itself this can be very dangerous for human
beings. The stingray has lots of predators that it has to look out for that
moves around in their environment. That is due to their normal large size.
Stingrays are able to use their flatted body to shape their advantage they can
do this by resting on the sea floor so that they can hide from predators that
want to eat them and this track can also come hardly for potential prey. The
Predators that the stingray can face are sharks, seals, sea lions and the large
species of carnorous fish. Humans can also be a threat to the stingray to. There
are 60 species of stingray on this planet. There close relates to these rays
that also includes the river ray. They live in freshwaters which are found in
rivers and the ocean-dwelling eagle and the manta ray can also be found in
freshwater that is in rivers to. The other name for a stingray can also be
called whip-tailed. Just every other ray in the sea. These rays bearly live with
their young and their will usually have 5 or 10 stingrays in a littler. Female
stingrays will usually give birth in every once a year. Females will usually
have two or six young at a time. When the baby stingray is still inside of it's
mother. It will start to grow very big so that can be born so that it can look
like a adult stingray. The moment that the baby stingray is born then they will
be able to fend for themselves. The stingrays breeding seasons starts during the
winter season. A female stingray will give birth to live young. She will usually
have 5 to 15 baby stingrays that is the will known litter for the stingray. The
baby stingray will remain inside it's mother for 9 months so that she can feed
off the reamaining yolk of the youngers egg sacks. When the mother has run out
of egg sacks then the baby stingray will start to feed on the mother's milk from
the uterus of the female stingray. The moment that the baby stingrays are born
then they will be able to swim around and then they will start to hunt with
their mother. Stingrays are venom because of their spine was extracted that is
used as an anesthesia that is made by ancient Greek dentists. When something or
a someone steps on a stingray then it can defend itself by lashing their tails
3. and then they will strike it's enemy with their sharp spine. The spine of the
stingray can cause a very dangerous wound that can cause a lot of deaths. lots
of people that live in lots of areas where stingrays usually live they can use
their tail spines as tips so that they can make spears and daggers. Stingrays
are getting caught in fishing nets because they are using small crabs
as bait and they are more often getting caught accidentally; These rays may be
speared when they are above the water. The small species of ray are uusally
cooked that is similar to other fish species. These rays can distory
shellfishing grounds. These fish is typeically girlled, battered and fired when
they are not valuable for themselves. Divers and snorkelers are finding
stingrays in shallow sandy waters so that the water can stay warm. In the island
called the Cayman islands there are a couple of diving spots their. one diving
spot is called Stingray city this is the place where divers and snorkletets can
swim with very big southern stingrays. They can also feed them by useing their
hands to. This place is located in the Caribbean island of Antigua this is the
largest reserve where stingrays live and snorkelling is allowed in this area.
The rays over there are super friendly. From all over the world people are
making stingray recipes. The most best parts that people use on to make thier
stingray recipes are their fins, their cheeks. (these parts of the stingray is
around their eyes). People are also using their live to make their recipes to.
The other parts of the stingray are the rubbery parts that have any culinary
uses in it. In lots of parts of the world, lots of different types of rays are
really important food source. Any species of rays are not currently being
threatened or being in endangered. THey do not come in contact with any
humankind's impact that is near their marine environment. But their is lots
wondering about their future of rays that is around their home range. That is
what I know about stingrays.
