6. Because espresso is an essential part of everyday life, the Italian government issued a
series of laws on preparation.
7. Johann Sebastian Bach composed an opera about a woman who was dependent on
coffee.
8. The average age of specialists in coffee (barista) in Italy is 48 years, is a highly
respected profession.
9. The highest consumption of coffee / capital in the world is registered in Finland,
Sweden, Norway and Denmark.
10. To make a good espresso, you need the four "m“s: macinazione (correct grinding
coffee beans), miscela (grain mix), machina (espresso) and mano (barista, coffee
specialist).
11. In 1763 there were 200 cafes in Venice.. In Italy, today, more than 200,000 cafes are
open and the number is still growing.
