DEVELOPING RESILIENCY
Life throws us curveballs that can't be avoided.
These can be in the form of an illness, an
accident, a loss of job, or a trauma. How do we
survive these life-changing events? We learn
how to become Resilient. Resiliency training
teaches you how to adapt to life's challenges
and even grow mentally, spiritually and
physically as a result. In this seminar, attendees
will learn skills and techniques to help them build
a resilient personality. As a result, they will grow
stronger and be prepared to deal with life's
unexpected challenges.
WORKING WITH STRESS, NOT AGAINST
IT
The bad news is...everyone experiences stress.
It is prevalent in today's society and is causing
multiple health problems. The good news is...
stress doesn't have to rule our lives. This
seminar will teach attendees how to decrease
their stress with the use of both coping and
relaxation techniques and take charge of their
lives.
BALANCING CONNECTING AND
DISCONNECTING WITH OTHERS
In today's world, we have the ability to
communicate with others 24 hours a day either
face-to-face or via the internet, cell phone,
texting, skyping, etc. Communication is vital in all
of our relationships whether it is with friends and
family, our co-workers or even people we don't
know. However, it must be balanced to be
effective. This seminar will teach attendees how
to most effectively communicate as well as how
they can find balance between connecting and
disconnecting.
MAKING TIME FOR YOURSELF
In today's hectic worid, we often think that we
don't have time for a break whether it is for lunch,
coffee, exercise, family time, etc. As a result, we
are putting ourselves at a greater risk for
illnesses such as heart disease, diabetes,
obesity, etc. Advertising today stresses the
importance of taking time to do something that
you enjoy. In this seminar, attendees will learn
techniques on how to decrease their stress by
finding the time to do something that they enjoy.
LIVING WELL WITH CHRONIC ILLNESS
Dealing with a chronic illness affects both your
mind and your body. In addition to traditional
medical management, there is now
overwhelming evidence that alternative therapy
also plays an important role in the healing
process. Mayo Clinic published a magazine
entitled, "Guide to Alternative Medicine 2011."
Brent Bauer, M.D. - Medical Editor states the
following: "What is important, is finding the best
evidence-based products and practices that
work with conventional medicine to improve your
health - mind, body and spirit." This seminar will
show attendees the benefits of combining
conventional medicine and alternative therapies.
OVERCOMING HOLIDAY STRESS
While we look fonward to holidays, we don't
always welcome all the activities that come with
them - shopping, decorating the house, sending
out cards, preparing the perfect meals, attending
parties, etc. If you are ever concerned about how
you are going to get everything done and meet
everyone's expectations, this seminar is for you.
Attendees will learn techniques / strategies to
help them proactively decrease their stress and
anxiety, so they can enjoy the holidays too.
COORDINATING YOUR SUMMER
ACTIVITIES
Summer involves longer days and warmer
weather. It is a time to participate in outdoor
sporting activities such as volleyball, biking
golfing, sailing, etc. and a time to. attend
barbeques, concerts, baseball games, etc. For
some, summer also has some challenges as
well such as finding childcare and coordinating
children's activities, planning a vacation or a stay
cation, covering for vacationing co-workers, and
organizing events with family and friends, etc.
This seminar will help teach attendees
techniques on how to find balance, so they can
enjoy their summer, too.
DEALING WITH WINTER BLUES
With less daylight and colder days, many people
experience symptoms of depression including
weight gain, an increase in fatigue, etc. Between
4 and 6 percent of the U.S. population suffers
from Seasonal Affective Disorder, while 10 to 20
percent may suffer from a more mild form of
winter blues. (Cleveland Clinic.org). This
seminar will teach attendees how to recognize
the varying degrees of seasonal depression and
teach them some techniques they can use to
help prevent or decrease the associated
symptoms.
Seminars can be
customized for
your group's particular
needs or interests.
