Changes made in our opening sequence
In the first draft, the lighting was poor due to incorrect camera settings, which was fixed in the second draft by changing to outdoor settings. Other improvements between drafts included removing a colon next to "Director" to seem less amateur, changing a computer scene zoom to a cut and close-up for a more documentary style, and adding establishing shots and changing shots for a beard application and dance scene to improve the storytelling. Additionally, drawings on paper were replaced with an iPad and friends were made to seem more understanding in a prom scene between drafts.

Storyboard
- 1. Storyboard When drafting our storyboard we did several drafts because we kept changing the story to get the best outcome of the film opening. Then we did a final story board to help us understand what the film opening was going to look like. In this photo it shows the draft of the story board which helped us get the best outcome in the final storyboard. This is the second part of the draft which helped with the final product. In this photo I can see that the first scene is a news reporter reporting the outburst with a mid-shot.
- 2. Storyboard In this photo I can see that the title of the film comes next on to the tele with a mid-shot of the television. Then there are two people watching this new report. In this photo I can see that there will be a phone call going on between two characters telling them to stay safe and remain inside. In this photo I can see that there is a cut scene which is the tell going white with a high beep which then leads to a new scene of the two people in the car.
- 3. Storyboard From this photo I can see that there is an extreme close up of the car key and a mid-shot of a zombie jumping onto the car bonnet. In this photo I can see that there is a cut scene which is the tell going white with a high beep which then leads to a new scene of a garden with happy music. In this photo I can see there are two people playing in the garden with another cut scene of the screen going white with a beep. In this photo I can see that there is a long shot of a person in a cupboard.
- 4. Storyboard In this photo I can see that there is a close up in the cupboard and then the screen flicking white. There is a close up of texting on the phone and then there is a long shot of the boy throwing the phone onto the bed. In this photo I can see that the screen goes white with a beep.
- 5. Storyboard In this photo I can see that there is a close up and a pan of the boys head turning and the boy running down the street. In this photo I can see that the long shot is a car quickly going with a zombie chasing. The last shot is a close up of a weapon.
