MY OWN PLOT

1c
Janine Apuada is very
bored for not having a cat
pet on their house.
Someone told her that
there’s a nearby house
that is selling a Siamese cat
breed.
Her mother tries to contact
the person selling this kitten.
Her mother saw also an
adorable puppy that she
wants to buy instead of the
kitten.
She searched for the house
of her daughter’s friend
that make her sweat
appear just to asked if her
daughter also loves puppy.
Her mother just bought then the
Siamese cat that her daughter
want to have.
Janine was surprised when she
heard a sound of a kitten so,
she came downstairs and saw
that her mother brought her a
little gift (the Siamese cat).
Finally, Janine named her cat
“Chanel”. She njoyed playing
with her pet and do silly things
with it and never get bored time
to time

RISING ACTION
FALLING ACTION
RISING ACTION
 “A related series of incidents in a literary plot
that build toward the point of greatest interest.”
action
 In my own words: the events of a dramatic plot
that leads to the climax
 My example:
Janine and her father went to a store to buy
a new pair of shoes.
2
TURNING POINT
 “A point at which a decisive change take
place.”
%20point?s=t
 In my own words: a point when something
changes in the plot
 My example:
But Janine saw a new arrival of Casio watch
that really catched her attention.
3
CLIMAX
 “The highest or most intense point in the
development or resolution of something.”
?s=t
 In my own words: the most exciting part of the
story near the end
 My example:
Her father tries to convince her that the
shoes is a limited one and it really fits good to
her daughter.
4
FALLING ACTION
 “Occurs after the climax has been reached and
the conflict has been resolved.”
%20action?s=t
 In my own words: part of the story after the
climax
 My example:
Janine ignored it and her father just bought
the watch she really wants.
5
RESOLUTION
 “The act of resolving or determining upon an
action.”
on?s=t
 In my own words: the action of solving a
problem
 My example:
They went home and you can see the smile
on her father’s face seeing her daughter happy
with her new watch.

PLOT ELEMENTS:
Brain Practice

Date Completed
Mr. Jaime Cabrera
CEU, Philippines
I personalize my learning
about the parts of literary
plot by completing this
three-part activity.
Related Stuff
New concepts learned
 Since I was in grade school I already know
how to construct the plot elements. So this
time, I am aware with this topic but it did
help me also and understand it more, the
different literary pieces by giving examples
base in my own experience.
NEW INPUTS
1
This reminds me of…
 When there’s some seatwork to do
regarding this topic, I can easily identify
the elements that is needed to be filled
with answers. I can finished it on time
because I can analyze the story well.
CONNECTIONS
2
Usefulness in real situations
 Now I’m doubly aware that all stories
have this elements, I can be encouraged
to ask myself to identify the characteristics
of each for a particular story. The more
familiar I become with the different kinds
of elements the better I understand and
critically analyze stories.
