• Smoking refers to the inhalation and exhalation of
fumes from burning tobacco in cigars, cigarette's and
pipes.

damaging your airways

• Smoking can cause blockages and narrowing in your arteries, which means less
blood and oxygen flow to your heart

• cancer of the liver, colon and rectum, lung, oral cavity and throat,
esophagus, stomach, pancreas, bladder, kidney, and cervix.
• Chemicals in cigarette smoke enter our blood stream and can then
affect the entire body, this is why smoking causes so many different

• These chemicals are transferred from your lungs into your blood
stream, changing and damaging cells all around your body. The
changes that these chemicals cause can increase your risk of
stroke.
