With the increase in the Carbon emissions by the globe,there has been catastrophic events under
climate change, there are people who don't believe this but it caused by trapping heat, and they
also contribute to respiratory disease from smog and air pollution.
Extreme weather, food supply disruptions, and increased wild fires are other effects of climate
change caused by green house gases.
Major problem raised by Tim Kruger is that CUTTING carbon emission is NOT enough to make
climate change stop. There is a need to adopt negative emission systems like plant more trees that
absorb carbon from the air and store it below the surface of the earth, while the other option is to
build machines. These Machine's primary scope is to absorb carbondioxide from the atmosphere
and develop a model that would be sustainable to store Caron as well. Also, these activities must
be safe, economic and socially acceptable.

STEPS
UNDERTAKEN
Tim highlighted that Natural Gas at an average releases 400 gm / Kwh of electricity generated, which
is excess w.r.t consumption of Electricity globally.
Likewise, to prevent such emissions he has developed a system which could be emission negative
with -600 gm/Kwh. This system is Origin Power Process, the working cycle of this process is stated
as - firstly Natural Gas is input for the fuel cell where due to combustion heat is produced and 50% of
it is converted into electricity while the other is taken as input heat in a Lime Kiln which disintegrates
Limestone into Lime and Carbon dioxide.
Hence from two sources Carbon dioxide is formed, from Fuel Cell and Kiln. The Calcium Oxide can
be released into sea to avoid sea-acidification or can be used to take CO2 back from the atmosphere
and form Limestone. While the one released from Fuel Cell can be directly store underground

Initiative taken is at a small scale and it needs to be conducted in stags as the speaker has rightly said
that stage wise experiments needs to be taken to observe any backfire that the process showcases.
The Process is well describes and is scientifically as well as economically sound
PROBLEMS RAISED
An Alternative technology that you might have come across, is Air Ink. This technology captures
carbon coming out of hydrocarbon fueled machines and later this is converted into powder form by
electrolysis. This powered carbon is used as ink with solvents added for printers, paint and pen ink

STUDY
Niche Concept - For a country like India, to make people adopt such concept will not only
take time but to convince people with this will be difficult.
Dead weight on the roof - This increases the dead weight of Earth on the roof of a storyed
building.
Maintenance - To maintain plants/grass/shrubs on the terrace will take effort and time along
with periodic cost to the area. Also use of particular manure or fertilizer will make it costlier.
Availability of roof area and town planning - Most of the residential places are flats hence a
lot smaller area will be utilized. Also every city has an inner city which doesn't have modern
planning,will be challenging to construct on their roofs.
Petrol/Diesel/Gas/Coal used in transportation, industries, commercial, residential sectors.
From products that cause pollution like cigarette, plastic packed products.
Comparison of Air Quality in 1990s to 2002- 2020 with respect to the industries growth.
Carbon quantity mapping with respect to areas dense with Green Roofs.
Tracking health of people/biodiversity living is the city.
Tracking climate abnormalities like dry summers, more extreme downpours and storms, less
snowy winters, and more hot days
Green Roofs have the following risks considering India
Yes, this can be considered as CDM project as the local electricity board have collected funds
from the public and have installed green roofs. These roofs turn into a carbon sink as they store
carbon in the soil and this is done by an organization hence CDM is applicable
Alternate funding mechanisms, it would definitely in form of tax, but who shall pay it?
It should be paid by people who use hydrocarbon directly or indirectly. Some of the possible
methodologies to collect it is from.
But these taxes should not or partially be applicable on people/organizations that generate Green
Energy.
For impact analysis of such case, will consider the following sailent feature

PROBLEMS RAISED With the increase in the Carbon emissions by the globe,there has been catastrophic events under climate change, there are people who don't believe this but it caused by trapping heat, and they also contribute to respiratory disease from smog and air pollution. Extreme weather, food supply disruptions, and increased wild fires are other effects of climate change caused by green house gases. Major problem raised by Tim Kruger is that CUTTING carbon emission is NOT enough to make climate change stop. There is a need to adopt negative emission systems like plant more trees that absorb carbon from the air and store it below the surface of the earth, while the other option is to build machines. These Machine's primary scope is to absorb carbondioxide from the atmosphere and develop a model that would be sustainable to store Caron as well.   • 3. STEPS UNDERTAKEN Tim highlighted that Natural Gas at an average releases 400 gm / Kwh of electricity generated, which is excess w.r.t consumption of Electricity globally. Likewise, to prevent such emissions he has developed a system which could be emission negative with -600 gm/Kwh. This system is Origin Power Process, the working cycle of this process is stated as - firstly Natural Gas is input for the fuel cell where due to combustion heat is produced and 50% of it is converted into electricity while the other is taken as input heat in a Lime Kiln which disintegrates Limestone into Lime and Carbon dioxide. Hence from two sources Carbon dioxide is formed, from Fuel Cell and Kiln. The Calcium Oxide can be released into sea to avoid sea-acidification or can be used to take CO2 back from the atmosphere and form Limestone. While the one released from Fuel Cell can be directly store underground INITIATIVE TAKEN BY THE RESEARCHER. Initiative taken is at a small scale and it needs to be conducted in stags as the speaker has rightly said that stage wise experiments needs to be taken to observe any backfire that the process showcases. The Process is well describes and is scientifically as well as economically sound PROBLEMS RAISED An Alternative technology that you might have come across, is Air Ink. This technology captures carbon coming out of hydrocarbon fueled machines and later this is converted into powder form by electrolysis.   • 4. BASEL SWITZERLAND CASE STUDY Niche Concept - For a country like India, to make people adopt such concept will not only take time but to convince people with this will be difficult. Dead weight on the roof - This increases the dead weight of Earth on the roof of a storyed building. Maintenance - To maintain plants/grass/shrubs on the terrace will take effort and time along with periodic cost to the area. Also use of particular manure or fertilizer will make it costlier. Availability of roof area and town planning - Most of the residential places are flats hence a lot smaller area will be utilized. Also every city has an inner city which doesn't have modern planning,will be challenging to construct on their roofs. Petrol/Diesel/Gas/Coal used in transportation, industries, commercial, residential sectors. From products that cause pollution like cigarette, plastic packed products. Comparison of Air Quality in 1990s to 2002- 2020 with respect to the industries growth. Carbon quantity mapping with respect to areas dense with Green Roofs. Tracking health of people/biodiversity living is the city. Tracking climate abnormalities like dry summers, more extreme downpours and storms, less snowy winters, and more hot days Green Roofs have the following risks considering India Yes, this can be considered as CDM project as the local electricity board have collected funds from the public and have installed green roofs. These roofs turn into a carbon sink as they store carbon in the soil and this is done by an organization hence CDM is applicable Alternate funding mechanisms, it would definitely in form of tax, but who shall pay it? It should be paid by people who use hydrocarbon directly or indirectly. Some of the possible methodologies to collect it is from. But these taxes should not or partially be applicable on people/organizations that generate Green Energy.
