Seventh standard students at a school discussed problems their school was facing, including maintenance of the school garden, safety of road crossings, cleanliness of toilets and surroundings, and effective use of the library. They decided to create awareness of traffic rules and road safety for students, as morning and evening road crossings were difficult and dangerous due to lack of rule following and awareness. The students approached school administrators and local police for guidance, and then helped students cross the road safely before and after school using flash cards, with more students now participating. They have also shared the importance of traffic rules through assemblies and online.

3. We Seventh Standard Students joined together in
groups and discussed about our school problems.
Each group said about one of the problem that our
school is facing.
 School Garden maintenance.
Safety road crossing.
Cleanliness of the School toilet and surroundings.
 Effective usage of school Library.

4. Morning and evening road crossing is becoming
very difficult to our school children. No one is
following the traffic rules. Accidents also occurred
many times to our school children due to non
awareness of traffic rules and road safety. So we
have decided to create awareness among school
children about the traffic rules and road safety
measures, so that the road crossing will be easy for
our school children.

5. The awareness of traffic rules by our school
children will make them to follow the rules. So
road crossing will be easy and reduce the
accidents.

6. By the prime aim of our school children’s safety we as a group of
students approached our school head master, physical education
teacher and local traffic police. They also guided us. With their
help we did the following deeds. Every day 5 minutes before of
our school closing & starting time 4 students from our group
stood in one side of our school entrance and 4 the opposite side
of our school entrance. By using the flash cards STOP, GET
READY, GO we helped the students to cross the road safely. The
students followed the traffic rules. Initially very few of us
participated in this job. Now many students joined as our team
members and participated in this activity.
