Carpool to Save Fuel, Money, Environment, Reduce Traffic...
Children spoke to the parents and requested them to start carpool to send their children to school.
We have around 900 children studying in our school. We had sent the attached notice to the parents. Some of the parents were very positive and have promised to start using the system of carpool in order to save fuel and save our environment. We hope to bring a change in almost 900 families in some time. IMPACT ON PEOPLE
MOTHER’S PET KINDERGARTEN (6.10.10) Dear Parents, The children of KG II are working on a project called ‘Design For Change’. They are trying to tackle the traffic outside the school and at the same time trying to encourage parents to start car pool to save fuel and our environment. Parents are requested to try and work out a system from each one’s residential area wherein they could have a carpool. We anticipate a good response. Thanking you, From: MOTHER’S PET KINDERGARTEN NOTICE TO THE PARENTS
As a part of it, our little children felt that they could even bring a smile on the face of less privileged children. JOY OF GIVING WEEK
During one of our regular Friday activities, the children made Diwali cards by using old magazine pages and sold them to the parents to collect money . MOTHER’S PET KINDERGARTEN KG – II NOTICE (30.09.2010) Dear Mummy & Daddy, This week is ‘ Joy of Giving Week’ . We want to be a part of this noble endeavor and would like to ‘Design for Change’. We felt that the traffic problem outside our school premises was affecting everyone. So, to regulate the traffic and to inculcate self-discipline in auto/van drivers and parents, we will be placing placards and signs at certain points. We would also like to collect money by selling our hand made cards and use the money to distribute books to a school in Khairi village. So, please come to the school basement on Friday (01.10.10.) at 12.45 p.m to buy my cards which you can send to my friends or relatives.
