The movie Steve Jobs tells the story of Apple co-founder Steve Jobs through three iconic product launches: the Apple Macintosh in 1984, the NeXT Computer, and the iMac in 1998. It shows Jobs' tumultuous relationships at Apple that led to his firing after Macintosh's failure and his founding of NeXT. 5. Story Summary
Steve Jobs (2015) is a biographical drama, based on 2011 biography of “Steve
Jobs” by Walter Isaccson.
The movie is told through three of his iconic product launches – The Apple
Macintosh, the NeXT Computer and the iMac.
The movie starts with the launch of The Apple Macintosh in 1984, where its
voice demo fails less than an hour before its unveiling.
It shows the paternity dispute that Jobs has with his ex-girlfriend Chrisann
Brennan – he denies he is the father of Brennan’s 5 year old daughter, Lisa.
6. Due to the failure of Macintosh, Jobs and John Sculley (CEO of Apple) had a
power struggle and the board decided to oust Steve jobs from Apple.
Then Jobs went on to found a new Company, NeXT Computers. Aimed at college
and educational institutions.
Meanwhile, Apple was at the verge of insolvency. Because of which John Sculley
was fired from Apple.
NeXT became famous of its OS, which Apple eventually bought and reinstated
Steve Jobs as it’s CEO.
In 1998, Steve Jobs unveils the iMac, whose Commercial forecasts is very
propitious and makes the company successful again.
The Movie ends with Lisa, watching her father take the stage to introduce iMac.
