5. Rocks: we use rocks in different ways, for example for building, for carving
rocks into statues. Some things from rocks, such as salt, are in the food you
eat.
Soil: is the top layer of Earth. We use soil to grow plants. We can also use it
to make things for example for building.

Pollution is waste that harms
land, water, and air.
It can make people and
animals sick. Plants can be
harmed, too. Pollution makes
water unsafe to drink. It also
makes the air dirty.
Dirty air is unsafe to breathe.
