Abstract On Water Pollution
Environmental Pollution
Environmental problems are becoming more serious by air, soil and water pollution. The effect of pollution is causing issues within nature as well as human civilization. Air pollution is everywhere, we emit carbon dioxide but much of the artificial pollutants can kill us. Soil pollution affects our food, causing sicknesses and weaker immune systems. Water pollution affects us most because about seventy-five percent of our world is water and because it is polluted people and animals are dying from lack of clean water.
The largest form of pollution is air pollution is caused by the burning of fossil fuels, as well as many of the luxuries we use today. Smoke from many factories pollutes the air in larger cities, making it unhealthy to live there. Streets are crowded with people and cars, the harmful motor emissions leading to many health issues. Consequently air pollution effects are as small as burning eyes and itchy throat to as large as breathing problems and death by lung diseases such as cancer, tuberculosis or even a damaging cough.
The next issue is soil pollution and much of it occurs due to the incorporation of unwanted chemicals in the soil due to human carelessness. The main cause of soil pollution is industrial activity, agricultural activities, and waste disposal and also accidental oil spills. They are caused by crops and plants grown in polluted soil that absorb too many pesticides along with pollution and then pass these on to us. This affects health of humans, growth of plants, decreased soil fertility and changes in soil structure.
The final form of pollution is through water and it has taken a toll on all of the surviving species of the Earth. Every day, 2 million tons of sewage, industrial and agricultural waste is discharged into the world’s water, the equivalent of the weight of the entire human population, and 6.8 billion people. Water pollution not only harms the aquatic beings but it also contaminates the entire food chain by severely affecting humanity’s dependence on aquatic fish as a food source. Water-borne diseases like cholera and diarrhea have also increased in all places due to the waste that humanity disposes of so carelessly. Water pollution is detrimental to our society
The environment has been getting worse by people upgrading their living standard, as the environment has been polluted with effective ways to improve their living temporarily and long term damaging our environment. Air, soil and water are our three most needed resources yet they have all turned into our largest pollution avenues. This problem can be solved by protecting the environment, and following the laws pertaining to non-pollution.

UNDERSTANDING WHAT GREEN WASHING IS!.pdfJulietMogola
Many companies today use green washing to lure the public into thinking they are conserving the environment but in real sense they are doing more harm. There have been such several cases from very big companies here in Kenya and also globally. This ranges from various sectors from manufacturing and goes to consumer products. Educating people on greenwashing will enable people to make better choices based on their analysis and not on what they see on marketing sites.
"Understanding the Carbon Cycle: Processes, Human Impacts, and Strategies for...MMariSelvam4
The carbon cycle is a critical component of Earth's environmental system, governing the movement and transformation of carbon through various reservoirs, including the atmosphere, oceans, soil, and living organisms. This complex cycle involves several key processes such as photosynthesis, respiration, decomposition, and carbon sequestration, each contributing to the regulation of carbon levels on the planet.
Human activities, particularly fossil fuel combustion and deforestation, have significantly altered the natural carbon cycle, leading to increased atmospheric carbon dioxide concentrations and driving climate change. Understanding the intricacies of the carbon cycle is essential for assessing the impacts of these changes and developing effective mitigation strategies.
By studying the carbon cycle, scientists can identify carbon sources and sinks, measure carbon fluxes, and predict future trends. This knowledge is crucial for crafting policies aimed at reducing carbon emissions, enhancing carbon storage, and promoting sustainable practices. The carbon cycle's interplay with climate systems, ecosystems, and human activities underscores its importance in maintaining a stable and healthy planet.
In-depth exploration of the carbon cycle reveals the delicate balance required to sustain life and the urgent need to address anthropogenic influences. Through research, education, and policy, we can work towards restoring equilibrium in the carbon cycle and ensuring a sustainable future for generations to come.
Characterization and the Kinetics of drying at the drying oven and with micro...Open Access Research Paper
The objective of this work is to contribute to valorization de Nephelium lappaceum by the characterization of kinetics of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum. The seeds were dehydrated until a constant mass respectively in a drying oven and a microwawe oven. The temperatures and the powers of drying are respectively: 50, 60 and 70°C and 140, 280 and 420 W. The results show that the curves of drying of seeds of Nephelium lappaceum do not present a phase of constant kinetics. The coefficients of diffusion vary between 2.09.10-8 to 2.98. 10-8m-2/s in the interval of 50°C at 70°C and between 4.83×10-07 at 9.04×10-07 m-8/s for the powers going of 140 W with 420 W the relation between Arrhenius and a value of energy of activation of 16.49 kJ. mol-1 expressed the effect of the temperature on effective diffusivity.

3. Fresh water is the most important source of life on the earth. Any living thing may survive without food for days
however it is impossible to imagine life without water and oxygen. The ever increasing human population enhances
the demand of more water for purposes like drinking, washing, performing industrial processes, irrigating ,
arranging swimming pools and other water-sports centres. Water pollution is done by the people of all over the
world because of increasing demands and competitions of luxuries life. Waste products from many human
activities are spoiling the whole water and decreasing the amount of oxygen available in the water. Such pollutants
are altering the physical, chemical, thermal, and biological characteristics of the water and adversely affecting the
lives inside as well as outside the water.

contains lead, cigarettes releases carbon monoxide, transport meansreleases CO2 and
other toxic substances to the atmosphere. All the pollutants are being in contact with
the atmosphere, destroyingthe ozone layer and callingharmful rays of sunto the earth.
In order to reduce the levelof air pollution we should bring some huge changes to our
habitson dailybasis. We should not cut trees, use public transportation, avoidspray
cans, andso manyactivities in the favor to reduce the effects of air pollution.
9. It is rightly said, “A nation that destroys its soils destroys itself”. Land pollution has an adverse
effect on the living beings as well as on the environment as a whole. It is one of the main causes
of the growing number of illnesses around. We often complain that the government is not
taking proper measures to bring down the land pollution. But are we doing our bit to lower the
same? No! On the contrary we are only adding to it, knowingly or unknowingly. It is high time
we must take it as our duty to lower the pollution level by making whatever effort we can at an
individual level.
10. Causes of Land Pollution
Land pollution is caused owing to various factors. These factors are both natural as well as those induced by man. Here is a look at the various reasons for
the same:
Industrial Waste
One of the biggest causes of land pollution is the industrial waste. Lack of proper options to dispose of the industrial waste which is generated in vast
quantity leads to land pollution. The chemical and toxic waste is thrown in large dumping grounds that breed mosquitoes, flies, rats and rodents. It gives
way to various illnesses as well as air pollution.
Mining
Mining is essential for the extraction of minerals and metals that are used in various day to day products. It causes mass destruction of trees and plants and
degrades the land. The digging of soil and use of heavy machinery to carry out the process of mining causes land pollution.
Pesticides
While it is essential to use pesticides for growing crops and it is alright to do so however over usage of the same can be harmful. This is because in addition
to killing the organisms that hamper the growth of plants these medicinal sprays also kill the microorganisms that are useful for plant growth. Besides, over
usage of pesticides and other chemical products contaminates the soil and degrades it. It causes land pollution and the place no longer remains fit for
agriculture.
Cutting of Trees
We all know that trees play a vital role in maintaining biodiversity which is essential for creating ecological balance. They also help in enhancing the soil
fertility and increasing soil aeration. However, unfortunately forests are being cut at a rapid pace. This exposes the soil to direct sunlight which is harmful in
many ways. It makes the land barren by extracting all the water and also kills microorganisms that are useful for the soil. The damage caused to the soil is
counted as land pollution.

1/A Choking Sky
Watching smoke stacks choke the sky
Always makes me want to cry.
I just can't help but wonder why
The factories won't even try
To find a safer, better way
To put their poisonous waste away.
3/Where are the birds that used to dot the sky?
They're not here anymore, and I have to wonder why.
Where are the fish that used to swim in this stream?
I can't see them anymore. What does that mean?
Where are the frogs that used to croak around this lake?
I can't hear them anymore. There must be some mistake.
I wish there was a clock whose hands I could rewind.
We might have saved these creatures if we'd just had more time.
Time to make people see how we're damaging our Earth,
Time to realize what it all was truly worth.
But the animals are disappearing at an alarming rate.
If we don't finally band together, it may really be too late.
2/It Starts With a Wrapper
It starts with a wrapper
Casually dropped in the street.
Someone else will pick it up,
Why worry about being neat?
Next it's a to-go cup
Left on the ground at the park.
Littering a place you enjoy
Really isn't smart.
