This document discusses starting agricultural work in developing countries like Mexico and Mongolia. It provides tips for making initial contacts through organizations, learning about the host country, deciding how to help based on needs and expertise, and sticking with projects over multiple visits. Details are given on Mongolia's history and traditional agriculture practices. Challenges for Mongolia's agriculture system are noted. Plans are outlined for future work between Oklahoma State University and organizations in Mexico and Mongolia focused on introducing students, implementing irrigation and variety trial projects.
