This document outlines the steps to starting a new club or society if a student cannot find one that fits their interests. First, they should read the Officers Handbook to understand club responsibilities. Second, they should meet with Rowan from the Resource Centre for advice. Third, write a one-page proposal outlining the club name, purpose, planned activities, and benefits. Fourth, create a petition with the signatures, names, and student IDs of 12 supporters. Finally, submit the proposal and petition to Rowan for review by the Student's Union Executive committee.
