The Texas STaR Chart is used to budget for technology resources, plan technology implementation, and evaluate technology projects. It provides a statewide measurement of progress towards Texas' long range technology goals by having schools conceptualize technology goals and measure student and teacher proficiency. The chart shows that over the past 3 years, one school has increased in all four domains of teaching, education development, support, and infrastructure. It is important because technology is the future for both students and teachers. Going forward, schools will focus on supporting students and teachers' ongoing technology professional development.
