Our Goal in a nutshell To meet current technology standards through effective technology instruction in every classroom by: Understanding what is required. ISTE’s Student Competency by Grade Level Title IID of NCLB (EETT) NETS for Students Understanding our needs. Assessment of current technology standards being addressed by staff Hardware & Software inventory Scheduling of teacher training in technology Implementing an ongoing solution to meet those needs. Weekly and monthly meetings and assessments
ISTE’s (International Society of Technology for Education) Student Competency by Grade Level Students are expected to achieve a certain level of proficiency in technology.  Upon completion of: 2 nd  Grade:  Use of input devices (mouse, keyboard) and output devices (monitor, printer). 5 th  Grade: Use general productivity tools and peripherals to suppport personal productivity, remediate skill deficits, and facilitate learning throughout the curriculum. 8 th  Grade: Select and use appropriate tools and technology resources to accomplish a variety of tasks and solve problems. 12 th  Grade:  Investigate and apply expert systems, intelligent agents, and simulations in real-world situations.
Title IID of NCLB: Enhancing Education Through Technology (EETT) Title II part D of the No Child Left Behind Act of 2001 focuses on the need for student academic achievement through the creation of programs which make use of the effective use of technology in the learning process.

Monthly Technology Integration Meetings Assessment of what we currently have in terms of technology and how we are currently using that technology in the classroom. Inventory on SmartBoards, Projectors, video, computers,and software applications and utilities. Identifying how these are currently being used in lesson plans.  Looking at current teacher certifications and technical abilities.  Assessment of general education teachers through surveys. Scheduling teacher training seminars for knowledge and effective use of technology in lesson plans.
Monthly Technology Integration Meetings Identifying the current technology gap that exists with regards to ISTE’s Competency by Grade Level List, NETS and EETT of TitleIID. Assessment on knowledge of technology by grade level and abilities.  This assessment will be conducted by the Technology Teacher. Assessment on current content knowledge by grade level and abilities.  This assessment will be done by the General Education Teacher.
Monthly Technology Integration Meetings Decision making on additional technology and/or software that may need to be purchased. Scheduling of Technology Teacher-General Ed Teacher one on one meetings on a weekly or bi-weekly basis to go over Lesson Plans and effectiveness of technology integration. Solution making for teachers who encounter difficulties implementing technology into their lessons.
Six Month Mark Assessments Review effectiveness of technology integration on lesson delivery and the learning process. Review of assessments done on student knowledge of technology by grade level and abilities. Review of assessments done on content knowledge by grade level and abilities. Check for compliance with Standards and Achievement Goals. Adjustments and changes may be implemented here, or earlier, as General Ed Teachers meet on a weekly or bi-weekly basis with the Technology Teacher.
