3. Why it is necessary AND
WHY IT IS evolved ?
Facing major problems regarding energy crisis, Due to limited fuel
resources available around us like petroleum products, coal, natural gas
etc.
According to The United Nations Energy statistical survey, consumption of
petroleum constitutes approximately 60 percent of energy used from all sources,
out of which, the daily consumption of petroleum all over the world today is 40
million barrels, of which about 50 percent is for automobile use.
Along with this we are facing major environmental trouble due to increase
in harmful gases which are evolved from nowhere else but the combustion
of these conventional energy sources.
So to reduce the environmental hazards only way is to use energy in the
way it will not harm environment.
4. What is Green Engine ?
Green engine is the Internal Combustion engine with
some or major modifications in its parts and design.
The Green engine as it is named for the time being is
a SIX PHASE ENGINE, which has a very low exhaust
emission, higher efficiency, low vibrations etc.
Apart from these features, is its uniqueness to adapt
to any fuel which is also well burnt.
5. History:
The green engine was a British engine manufactured in Bexhill to
produce engines of his design. It flourished especially as a designer of
aeroplane engines during the first two decades of the 20th century.
The firm produced a range of water-cooled, mostly inline engines
powered many pioneering British Aircraft.
Then the designs of engine for motorcycle and cars was developed in
late 21st century taking the concept of Greens’ design techniques.
6. TECHNICAL FEATURES:
Direct air intake.
Satisfactory Air-Fuel
Mixing: Green engine
achieves the better air fuel
mixing than conventional
engine which in turn reduces
the emission of harmful
gases like carbon monoxide.
Complete Combustion of
Fuel: As better Air to Fuel
ratio, we achieve better
combustion.
Full Expansion: In
conventional engine, total
energy of expansion stroke is
not converted into useful
energy. But green engine
overcomes this problem and
recovers full expansion
stroke and saves fuels.
Limited parts and smaller
size.
Vibration free.
The most important
characteristic is the
expansion ratio being much
bigger than the
compression ratio
7. COMPARISON WITH CONVENTIONAL ENGINES:

9. Principle and Construction of Green Engine:
Green engine is really evolutionary concept. Its construction is a
lot varied from the conventional reciprocating engine. It consists
of:
• A pair of rotors –it contains a number of small pot like
containers
• A set of vanes
• Two air intake ports
• Two spark plugs
• Two fuel injectors
12. Advantages:
Small Size and light weight – causes better performance.
Near-Zero emission
Smooth operation-Due to inherence of good dynamic and static
balance, the performance of the Green engine is as smooth as an
electric motor.
Multi Fuels- Due to six phases of working principle, super air
fuel mixing process and constant volume combustion with
controllable time, the Green engine becomes the only real
multi-fuel engine on our planet; any liquid or gas fuels can
be burnt well. Also it would be ideal to coal powder if special
anti-wearing material is employed.
13. Low cost engine
Lower exhaust temperature. i.e. low heat loss in flue gases.
Limited parts - There are only some dozens of parts easy to be
manufactured in the engine structure.
Due to rotary nature green engine performance is much
better.
Higher efficiency
Less noisy and less vibrations and hence highly efficient.
14. Applications:
1. Like normal engine green engine can be
employed in automobiles and in aircrafts, too.
2. Engineering applications.
3. Military use.
4. Mines.
5. Electrical Generators.
6. Ships and submarines.
1. GREEN ENGINE PROTOTYPE 2. A GREEN ENGINE
IMPLIMENTED IN GENERATOR
15. Conclusion:
Green engine can work with large variety of fuels which makes it good choice for
using nonconventional fuels like biodiesel.
The Green engine's prototypes have been recently developed, and also because of the
unique design, limitations have not been determined to any extent. But even in the
face of limitations if any, the Green engine is sure to serve the purpose to a large
extent.
Pollution is minimized by green engine.
It’s a new revolutionary engine technology.
