out his iPhone and started looking for an app to appease his boredom. Before I knew it, Sam

maps as an interview technique could produce some inaccuracy and may not be a reliable way of

the ages of 18 23 years old and a group of children between 5 6 years old with a man who was
helping to dress a little girl named Antonia as a pirate. Both groups of participants were then asked
to record where they saw Antonia get touched in the video on a body map. The variables measured
were the groups mean number of correct touches reported and a mean accuracy score. The
hypothesis for the experiment was that adults would score higher on the number of correct touches

Antiquity, we are caught between the regretful contemplation of ancient ruins and the excited
acclamation of new growth. Brown s work covers the years 150 750 AD a period of time too often
and mistakenly labeled as the dark ages. Brown does not make this mistake. Instead, he challenges
what seemed to be a grounded notion that the study of Late Antiquitywas one of decline and fall.
This was a time of transformation and continuity. Moreover, he moves beyond the narratives of the
barbarian invasions that brought about the end of the Roman Empire. There were no barbarian
invasions, as they were already gradually becoming Roman. That is, the barbarians had already
started to assimilate to Roman culture and, crucially, the Roman Empire did not end with the fall of

always becoming more and more excited about what is going to happen next. So far it has been
filled with ups and down and me trying to predict what will happen next on his journey. While
reading chapter 6 I was so elated that Marc had gotten accepted to college, it seems as though he
actually has a plan for himself and is determined to exceed every goal. But normally good things
don t always last for a time and for some reason I could sense that something was about to

life itself. I truly believe that when people are presented with things that inspire them to do
better or be better then they will change their attitude on everything. They begin to create dreams

go bad they choose not to focus on them because of the complete turnaround they just achieved.

Kip Kinkel, leading up to him killing his parents, two fellow classmates and injuring 25 more.
This film examines Kip Kinkel s life, looking for clues that lead to him committing this mass
murder. Areas that were explored such as his upbringing, social life, his hobbies, and events that
led him to seeing a psychologist for depression. All of these areas that the documentary covered
show a gradual, consistent build up in concerning behavior. This documentary shows that there

In the chapter Selling the General in the book A Visit from the Goon Squad by Jennifer Egan the
main character, Dolly, comes off as relatable mother going through a tough time at first, but the
line of work and the people she deals with makes us realize how she isn t as much as an
identifiable person. In the article The Scourge of Relatability, Rebecca Mead defines relatable as
describing a character or a situation in which an ordinary person might see himself reflected
(2014). Dolly is relatable because she is an over worked single motherwith financial problems and
struggling to connect with her child, Lulu. On the other hand, she isn t relatable because she is
using her work to protect the image of a well known dictator. In her article, Mead states that
many people automatically see a work as a failure if they cant easily relate to it or the people
involved. She goes on to say, it is our own failure to reject a work that we don t relate to because
we can still exercise our imagination to feel empathyand eventually relate to it (2014). Dolly for

The topics that I have been assigned to study in this specific sociology course that I am currently
enrolled in include: gender and social conflict. Other than the assigned textbook for this specific

Do to the similarities in my area of volunteering and my topics, I often found it very easy to
perform the required research necessary to adequately analyze these topics. Furthermore, while
volunteering at Planned Parenthood of the Sioux Land Area I gained more insight and
knowledge then I originally expected. Throughout my volunteer experiences at Planned
Parenthood I was given many opportunities to interact with others as well as help those that are
in need of medical and emotional assistance. These interactions included but were not limited to
filing paperwork, creating visual displays, and restocking pamphlets / brochures, dealing with
crowd control/protestors, as well as answering the phones and directing patients to the help in
which they needed. Through these simple jobs that I was given at Planned Parenthood I was able
to expand and hone in on my communication skills with others. Not only did I have to be able to
have conversations with others while volunteering, I also had to be able to listen to what others
had to say and find ways to help and direct them. Do to the type of patients that Planned
Parenthood of the Siouxland aides as well as the procedures that Planned Parenthood and
organizations similar to Planned Parenthood perform on their patients, there were many times that I
was able to learn about my individual values and belief in regards to the field of female

The Syrian regime on countless occasions has displayed that humans act out of perceived self
interest as they have mercilessly attacked civilians for insignificant gains. While at war with the

By behaving provocatively (crazy) and exposing his uncle s perfidy, Hamlet hopes to drive his

Imagine a world of endless wonder, where historical artifacts actually contain powers beyond our

Most people would say men because in our society men are deemed the protectors and leaders. In
