The running of the bulls in Pamplona and bullfighting are also famous Spanish traditions that attract tourists. Spain has a long history of settlement and conquest by different groups over millions of years.

It is very similar to an American Mardi Gras celebration.

Children receive their gifts on the Epiphany. The holiday season is both religious and festive.
