We are interested in bridging the world of natural language and the world of the semantic web in particular to support multilingual access to the web of data. In this paper we introduce the ULiS project, that aims at designing a pivot-based NLP technique called Universal Linguistic System, 100% using the semantic web formalisms, and being compliant with the Meaning-Text theory. Through the ULiS, a user could interact with an interlingual knowledge base (IKB) in controlled natural language. Linguistic resources themselves are part of a specific IKB: The Universal Lexical Knowledge base (ULK), so that actors may enhance their controlled natural language, through requests in controlled natural language. We describe a basic interaction scenario at the system level, and provide an overview of the architecture of ULiS. We then introduce the core of the ULiS: the interlingual lexical ontology (ILexicOn), in which each interlingual lexical unit class (ILUc) supports the projection of its semantic decomposition on itself. We validate our model with a standalone ILexicOn, and introduce and explain a concise human-readable notation for it.

Sonnet 18

Iambic pentameter is a line of verse drama with five groups of syllables where the first is unstressed and the second is stressed. It also references two of Shakespeare's most famous quotes from Hamlet and Romeo and Juliet which vary from the typical iambic pentameter structure.
The sonnet

Shakespeare Introduction
William Shakespeare was an English playwright, poet and actor born around 1564 in Stratford-upon-Avon. He wrote 37 plays and numerous sonnets and poems. His plays can be categorized as tragedies, histories, or comedies. Shakespeare's plays were performed in polygonal theaters like the Globe with three levels, an open center stage surrounded on three sides by the audience, and an upper stage used as a balcony. Actors in Shakespeare's time were all male, even for female roles, and costumes were passed down and not necessarily fashionable. Theater was seen as just above brothels in society at the time.
Medieval romance
Medieval romances featured larger-than-life characters like knights motivated by love, faith or adventure in exotic settings involving supernatural elements or mistaken identities. Many celebrated King Arthur and his knights, where knights would select a lady as their "chosen one" aside from their wife, promising to be devoted, discreet and polite, giving the lady a ring. Modern acts of chivalry include offering your jacket if cold, holding doors for others, standing when a woman leaves or arrives at the table, getting the car in rain, walking closest to the street, offering a ride home, opening car doors, and introducing her to others.
Conflict
The document discusses four main types of conflict: internal conflict which occurs within a character's mind; external conflict which involves a character against an outside force; man vs. self which involves a character struggling with their own thoughts or feelings; and man vs. man, society, or nature which involve a character in conflict with other people, societal pressures, or natural elements. Examples are provided for each type of conflict, such as Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde illustrating man vs. self internal conflict and superhero movies often featuring man vs. man external conflict between heroes and villains.

It follows a group of pilgrims on a journey to Canterbury and uses a frame narrative structure, with the main story providing context for secondary stories told by each character. Through description in the prologue, Chaucer characterizes each pilgrim according to their social station and appearance, employing stereotypes that provide quick insights but are not entirely accurate representations of the individuals.
Riddles PPT
This document contains two Old English riddles from the Exeter Book manuscript.
