The Fairfax County Department of Public Works and Environmental Services has completed the Solids Processing Rehabilitation – Phase II project at the Noman M. Cole Jr. Pollution Control Plant, which involved significant upgrades to various systems including primary and secondary scum collection, dewatering, and dissolved air flotation thickeners. The project also included rehabilitation of buildings Q1 and Q2, enhancing architectural, structural, and HVAC systems. The project was substantially completed on October 18, 2019, with the involvement of a dedicated project team.
