When the lights went down and the film started, I have to admit I was very apprehensive. I had
already looked over the discussion guide that was distributed and I looked around at the people I
was surrounded by. The guide is comprised mostly of stats about the military and growth rates etc.
The theater was far from full, a third of the seats were full, of this audience most of the people were
veterans themselves. Me being an outsider was already apprehensive as I prepared my questions for
the Q&A section of the panel I was worried how this audience would react and respond to my
questions. The film begins with a piecing together of different pieces of commercials from the
different branches of the military, the army, national guard, marine corps, navy. The Film followed

To me, it seemed as though she was taking part in the patriarchy. There were a lot of Vietnam
veterans in the audience, obviously, all of those veterans were men and I think they were really
uncomfortable with not only my question but the responses from the panel. Honestly, that is just too
bad for them. The discussion was going towards a really productive place and I believe that had the
moderator also a woman allowed for fellow women more space to continue the conversation there
could have been a really productive conversation. Instead, I left feeling like the experience was

The Issue Of A Soldier
In the event, any Soldier provides you information that another Soldier has stated they were sexually
assaulted it is imperative to take the matter seriously as it could be detrimental to the cohesion and
readiness of your team and unit. It is very important for us as leaders to know the proper steps to
protect ourselves and other Soldiers in the unit, while maintaining the victim 's confidentiality,
helping to get them to the proper agencies to get the matter resolved. After speaking with PV2
Rogers about the events that PFC Nolan spoke with her about I would thank PV2 Rogers for having

perceived poorly by others in the unit, as it violates the Army's Fraternization Policy. I would inform

For most of human history, war has generally been conceptualized as a domain of adults in uniform.
However, in the past decades, a disturbing trend has surfaced – children, both boys and girls, are

Army Doctrine Publication (ADP) 1 does not go in to detail about the Solider for Life concept. This
section of ADP 1 opened my eyes to a fact about my own life that I was unaware of, until now.

There are nine billion children in the world as of right now. About 300,000 children soldiers that
have been recruited to fight in the wars of world, and about 11,000 of them are in Africa. It may

Each and every day they wake up or don't even get to sleep, they are put to work. Think of it as

The skills required to be an officer in the US army have changed dramatically over the course of the
army's lifetime. The training, or lack of training, shaped the officers into what the army decided it
