Problem Statement:
Agriculture contributes about 17-18 percent of India’s GDP where 70
percent of its rural population still depend primarily on agriculture with 82
percent of them being small and marginal. Agriculture is about 4 times more
effective than other sectors in removing poverty.
From ages we are implementing many seed sowing methods,but they have
resulted in low seed placement , less spacing efficiency and serious
backache for the farmer which results in severe health problems.This also
limited the size of the land that can be cultivated.
Solution:
To overcome the seed planting problems , there is need to develop the seed
sowing machine , which can be implemented for all types of crops , minimize
the working cost , time for digging and operating on clean energy.
Design of the Machine:
Weed Cutter:
Attached in the front part of the
machine to cut the weeds which
can be utilised as natural
fertilizers further.
Plough:
Used for ploughing the
land to sow the seeds and
row spacing can be
achieved.
Seed Tanker:
A seed tanker is placed on the top of the
machine in which fertilizers and seeds are
mixed in required amount and an orifice is
made so that single seed planting to hill
seed planting can be achieved.
Mud Coveror:
Placed at the end of the machine which
covers the mud which was out during the
ploughing.
Automatic Tilted Solar Panel
Tilts like a sunflower based on sun’s
direction to draw maximum energy required
to run the whole machine.
Node MCU
Used to send instant messages when the
seed tanker and water tanker are emptied.

Components Used:
Ultrasonic Sensor
Used to detect the levels of seed
and water tanks respectively and
it of range 2 to 400 cm.
Arduino:
An open source hardware
platform on which the overall
project is built.
DC Motors
Used to run the weed
cutter and the machine.
HC05 Bluetooth Module
Range of 10 cm , used to control the machine
by giving a voice command over one’s phone
.
Servo Motors
Used in producing open close action at the orifice of
the seed planter while planting the seeds and also
lift the plough according to the usage of it.
Soil Moisture Sensor & Submersible water Pump:
Checks the moisture content
and switches on the pump
automatically which makes the
ploughing process easier.
Automatic Tilted Solar Panel:
Used in acquiring the required power to
run the machine by absorbing the
maximum amount of sunlight by tilting
like a sunflower.
Nodemcu:
Connected to ultrasonic sensor and
send an immediate message to the
farmer when the respective seed and
water tank levels are less than 50 %
making using of IFTTT.
L298N Motor Driver:
It is a dual H-bridge motor driver which
allows speed and direction control of two
dc motors at the same time and we have
used this H-bridge to control the wheels
of the machine and weed cutter.
Advantages:
● Proper germination of seeds in even distances can be achieved.
● Increased planting efficiency and accuracy.
● The machine is very cheap and can be easily manufactured at nearby
workshops.
● The product is scalable and would assist large scale farmers in
proper,effective planting of crop.

Solar seed fling machine J-Hub

  • 2. Problem Statement: Agriculture contributes about 17-18 percent of India’s GDP where 70 percent of its rural population still depend primarily on agriculture with 82 percent of them being small and marginal. Agriculture is about 4 times more effective than other sectors in removing poverty. From ages we are implementing many seed sowing methods,but they have resulted in low seed placement , less spacing efficiency and serious backache for the farmer which results in severe health problems.This also limited the size of the land that can be cultivated.
  • 3. Solution: To overcome the seed planting problems , there is need to develop the seed sowing machine , which can be implemented for all types of crops , minimize the working cost , time for digging and operating on clean energy.
  • 4. Design of the Machine: Weed Cutter: Attached in the front part of the machine to cut the weeds which can be utilised as natural fertilizers further. Plough: Used for ploughing the land to sow the seeds and row spacing can be achieved.
  • 5. Seed Tanker: A seed tanker is placed on the top of the machine in which fertilizers and seeds are mixed in required amount and an orifice is made so that single seed planting to hill seed planting can be achieved. Mud Coveror: Placed at the end of the machine which covers the mud which was out during the ploughing.
  • 6. Automatic Tilted Solar Panel Tilts like a sunflower based on sun’s direction to draw maximum energy required to run the whole machine. Node MCU Used to send instant messages when the seed tanker and water tanker are emptied.
  • 7. WEED CUTTER AUTOMATIC TILTING SOLAR PANEL CONTROLLING USING BLUETOOTH MODULE NODE MCU SEED PLANTER CUTS THE WEEDS WHICH CAN BE USED AS NATURAL FERTILIZERS FURTHER WETS THE LANDING MAKING PLOUGHING PROCESS EASY PLOUGHS THE LAND AND CAN BE LIFTED AT REDUIRED ANGLE ANDHEIGHT REQUIRED PLOUGH FERTILIZERS AND SEEDS ARE MIXED IN REQUIRED PROPORTIONS AND WORKS ON ORIFICE MECHANISM TO ACEIVE PROPER SEED AND ROW SPACING OPEN CLOSE LID MEACHANISM TO ACHIEVE ROW SPACING TUBE FOR SEED FALLING NODE MCU TO SEND INSTANT MESSAGES WHEN SEED AND WATER TANKS ARE EMPTY USED TO COVER THE MUD OUT DURING PLOUGHING FOR LONGER RANGES WE MAKE THE MACHINEAUTOMATIC WHICH ACTS AS OBSTACLE AVOIDING MACHINE AUTOMATED TILTING PANEL BASED ON SUN’S DIRECTIONTODRAW THE MAXIMUM POWER REQUIRED TO RUN THE MACHINE MUD COVEROR WATER SPRINKLER SOLAR SEED FLING MACHINE
  • 8. Components Used: Ultrasonic Sensor Used to detect the levels of seed and water tanks respectively and it of range 2 to 400 cm. Arduino: An open source hardware platform on which the overall project is built.
  • 9. DC Motors Used to run the weed cutter and the machine. HC05 Bluetooth Module Range of 10 cm , used to control the machine by giving a voice command over one’s phone .
  • 10. Servo Motors Used in producing open close action at the orifice of the seed planter while planting the seeds and also lift the plough according to the usage of it. Soil Moisture Sensor & Submersible water Pump: Checks the moisture content and switches on the pump automatically which makes the ploughing process easier.
  • 11. Automatic Tilted Solar Panel: Used in acquiring the required power to run the machine by absorbing the maximum amount of sunlight by tilting like a sunflower. Nodemcu: Connected to ultrasonic sensor and send an immediate message to the farmer when the respective seed and water tank levels are less than 50 % making using of IFTTT.
  • 12. L298N Motor Driver: It is a dual H-bridge motor driver which allows speed and direction control of two dc motors at the same time and we have used this H-bridge to control the wheels of the machine and weed cutter.
  • 13. Advantages: ● Proper germination of seeds in even distances can be achieved. ● Increased planting efficiency and accuracy. ● The machine is very cheap and can be easily manufactured at nearby workshops. ● The product is scalable and would assist large scale farmers in proper,effective planting of crop.
