The growth Story…….
• Journey starts from 2003; as a Consulting
Organization
• Core Competency – Biomass and Solar
• An Employee base of over 100 people.
• Started from a few thousand rupee capital and
converted into Rs. 500 million worth group.
• Achievements in RE Sector – Investment of over
10 Billion Rupees.
• Growing at an Annual Average of 25%.
Being an EPC Contractor
PV (Photovoltaic) power plants are not as complex as some of the other conventional or
renewable technologies, COST and TIME pressures make the solar PV EPC (Engineering
Procurement and Construction) a challenging task.
Being an EPC contractor in India can be tricky as one has to deal with numerous
stakeholders like ministries and departments, statutory and local bodies, clients and
internal teams, vendors and subcontractors while constructing the power plant and, at
the same time, maintain project profitability
Phases in Solar Power Plant
Site Identification & Preliminary Financial Analysis
Land Leasing or Buying
Basic Engineering Design/Technology Selection
Power Purchase Agreement & Selection of EPC
Financing of the Solar Project
Testing and Connection to Grid
Ongoing O&M
Foremost challenges for an EPC are:
Land Acquisition Engineering Supply chain
Site operations Liaising Funding
Land & Local issues
• Unclear land boundary and incomplete acquisitions
• Cost of Land in some good irradiation geographic
locations
• Unknown sub-soil conditions
• Local political influences and interventions for the
project
• Site security issues
• Access to skilled resources at site
Design Basis and Engineering standards
• DC/AC capacity &
equipments
• Design temperature
• Ascertaining reactive power
• Instrumentation errors of
the measuring and
monitoring devices.
• PR calculation methodology
PV plant design & engineering
activity plays a key decisive role
for the entire life cycle of the
project.
Supply Chain
• Logistics Management
• Desired quality and specifications of material
• Vendor management and development
Site Operations
• Resource Mobilization
• Sub-Contractor Management
• Scheduling and Planning
• Quality Management
• Project schedule is highly overlapping
• Complete attention to safety and quality
Project manager needs to wear many hats, sometimes all at once
like a team leader, a manager, a planner, a negotiator, a safety
custodian, a quality custodian and a mentor.

Performance exceeds expectations
“Considering SR Corporate Consultant Private Limited for EPC was surely a right decision,
installers were efficient and polite I actually don’t think I have experienced such proactive
customer support before and SR should be commended for this.
