This document discusses mental health issues in India. It begins with an introduction noting the large burden of mental health issues and need to address them. The literature review discusses projections of increased demand for mental health services due to COVID-19. The objectives are understanding youth mental health issues and how to address them. It then discusses what mental health is, myths, the underfunding of mental health in India, effects during COVID-19, ways to overcome issues, the Mental Health Act of 1987, and concludes with developing a self-care support model.
