This document analyzes the rise of social media usage through smartphones. It hypothesizes that as the number of smartphones has increased, the number of social media accounts has also risen. The objectives are to determine daily internet and social media usage on smartphones, compare smartphone usefulness to laptops, identify how many users have social media on phones, and examine smartphone trends. Key findings include over 80% of users having social media on phones, smartphones surpassing laptops for internet searches, and 94% being likely to purchase another smartphone. The conclusion is that smartphones are replacing laptops and driving increased social media account growth.
