worldwide
• Both positive and Negative effect
• It is a known fact that young adults and teenagers
are the most avid users of such sites.
• it has been found that these OSN sites are having a
great impact on the lives of young people.
Introduction
• Social media refers to interaction among people in which
they create, share, and exchange information and ideas
in virtual communities and networks
• Andreas Kaplan and Michael Haenlein (specialized in social
media and viral marketing ) define social media as "a
group of Internet-based applications that build on the
ideological and technological foundations of Web 2.0 and
that allow the creation and exchange of user-generated
content.

Conclusion
• Overall, from the research
we found that social media
have very negative impacts
on youth, they enjoy in their
virtual world (Social media
sites)
• lack of seriousness and less
interact with society
• less problem solving skills
and they hesitate to make
eye contact while talking
