Fedbench - A Benchmark Suite for Federated Semantic Data Processing
(1) FedBench is a benchmark suite for evaluating federated semantic data processing systems.
(2) It includes parameterized benchmark drivers, a variety of RDF datasets and SPARQL queries, and an evaluation framework to measure system performance.
(3) An initial evaluation was conducted to demonstrate FedBench's flexibility in comparing centralized and federated query processing using different systems and scenarios.
A Generic Scientific Data Model and Ontology for Representation of Chemical Data
The current movement toward openness and sharing of data is likely to have a profound effect on the speed of scientific research and the complexity of questions we can answer. However, a fundamental problem with currently available datasets (and their metadata) is heterogeneity in terms of implementation, organization, and representation.
To address this issue we have developed a generic scientific data model (SDM) to organize and annotate raw and processed data, and the associated metadata. This paper will present the current status of the SDM, implementation of the SDM in JSON-LD, and the associated scientific data model ontology (SDMO). Example usage of the SDM to store data from a variety of sources with be discussed along with future plans for the work.

Characterising the Emergent Semantics in Twitter Lists
This document summarizes research analyzing the emergent semantics of lists and list names on Twitter. The researchers investigated whether related keywords can be identified from list names according to how they are used by different user roles (curators, subscribers, members). They used a dataset of over 297,000 lists to extract keywords from list names and model their relationships based on these user roles. Their experiments analyzed the semantics of related keyword pairs using techniques like WordNet searches and found that relationships identified based on members had the highest percentage of direct semantic relations like synonyms.

Open Data follows similar “open” concepts that have proven to be valuable in the information economy such as Open Standards, Open Source Software, Open Content and has been followed more recently by variations on the theme such as Open Science and Open Government.
Open Data allows information of common value to be reused without needing to be recreated. The economic benefits of Open Data include cost reduction, organizational efficiencies and the facilitation of commonly held understanding. The costs of implementing Open Data deployment strategies tend to be iterative on top of existing information infrastructure.

The Information Workbench - Linked Data and Semantic Wikis in the Enterprise
The Information Workbench is a platform for Linked Data applications in the enterprise. Targeting the full life-cycle of Linked Data applications, it facilitates the integration and processing of Linked Data following a Data-as-a-Service paradigm.
In this talk we present how we use Semantic Wiki technologies in the Information Workbench for the development of user interfaces for interacting with the Linked Data. The user interface can be easily customized using a large set of widgets for data integration, interactive visualization, exploration and analytics, as well as the collaborative acquisition and authoring of Linked Data. The talk will feature a live demo illustrating an example application, a Conference Explorer integrating data about the SMWCon conference, publications and social media.
We will also present solutions and applications of the Information Workbench in a variety of other domains, including the Life Sciences and Data Center Management.

Diagnosis and Staging
The diagnosis of HR+ breast cancer begins with clinical evaluation, imaging, and biopsy. Imaging modalities such as mammography, ultrasound, and MRI help in assessing the extent of the disease. Histopathological examination and immunohistochemical staining of the biopsy sample confirm the diagnosis and hormone receptor status by identifying the presence of estrogen receptors (ER) and progesterone receptors (PR) on the tumor cells.
Staging involves determining the size of the tumor (T), the involvement of regional lymph nodes (N), and the presence of distant metastasis (M). The American Joint Committee on Cancer (AJCC) staging system is commonly used. Accurate staging is critical as it guides treatment decisions.

Endocrine Therapy
