Origin,Cause And Effects of Smoking
Smoking is a practice in which a substance is
burned and the resulting smoke breathed in to be
tasted and absorbed into the bloodstream.
It can be through Cigarettes, pipes, cigars,
hookahs etc..
Cigarette smoke contains over 4,000 chemicals,
including 43 known cancer-causing (carcinogenic)
compounds and 400 other toxins.
*Tar is one ow Them (Cancer-causing)
* Nicotine is an addictive drug, It Keep Yu Smoking
Tar is a
 dark brown or black viscous liquid of hydrocarbons .
obtained from a wide variety of organic
materials through destructive distillation (decomposition of a solid by
heating it in a closed container and collecting the volatile constituents given off.)
Tar can be produced from coal, wood, petroleum.
Nicotine is highly addictive. Smoke containing nicotine is
inhaled into the lungs, and the nicotine reaches your brain
in just six seconds.
Nicotine in small doses acts as a stimulant to the brain. In large
doses, it's a depressant, inhibiting the flow of signals between
nerve cells. In even larger doses, it's a lethal poison, affecting
the heart, blood vessels, and hormones. Nicotine in the
bloodstream acts to make the smoker feel calm.
They are rapidly absorbed into the
bloodstream and reach the body tissue ,
then into the heart and from there to the
brain).
Cigarette smoking causes more than 480,000 (approx. 5 lac) deaths each
year in the United States. This is nearly one in five deaths.
Smoking causes about 90% (or 9 out of 10) of all lung cancer deaths
More women die from lung cancer each year than from breast cancer
Estimates show smoking increases the risk for coronary heart disease by 2 to
4 times
For stroke by 2 to 4 times
Of men developing lung cancer by 25 times
Of women developing lung cancer by 25.7 times
 Studies over the past few years suggest that estrogen may promote
growth of lung tumors which may account for the earlier age of
diagnosis in women.
Immediately after inhaling; incomplete combustion produced
by tobacco produces carbon monoxide, which damage the
ability of blood hemoglobin (the oxygen-carrying component
in red blood cells) to carry oxygen when inhaled into the
lungs.
 Blood cells are naturally recycled after a certain period of time, allowing creation of
new erythrocytes. However, if carbon monoxide exposure reaches a certain point
before they can be recycled, hypoxia (and later death) occurs.
 Responses associated within the heart and blood vessels. Within one
minute the heart rate begins to rise, increasing by as much as 30
percent during the first 10 minutes of smoking.
 Increases blood pressure.
 The nicotine in cigarette smoke is a big part of the problem. It raises
your blood pressure and heart rate, narrows your arteries and hardens
their walls, and makes your blood more likely to clot. It stresses your heart
and sets you up for a heart attack or stroke is called atherosclerosis
The complete list of chemicals added to your cigarettes is too
long to list here. Here are some examples that will surprise
you:
Fungicides and pesticides -- Cause many types of cancers and birth defects.
Cadmium -- Linked to lung cancer
Benzene -- Linked to leukemia.
Formaldehyde -- Linked to lung cancer.
Nickel -- Causes increased susceptibility to lung infections
"An addicted customer is a
customer for life, no matter
how short that life is."
IF you are a Businessman, Then u must want to make
money overnight and no matter from where it get in…
LOVE is BLIND
Greed Is Insatiable
The modern electronic-cigarette was
invented in 2003 by Chinese
pharmacist Hon Lik
Since they were first sold in 2004 their
global use has risen exponentially.[31] In the
United States and the United Kingdom their
use is widespread.
Reasons for using e-
cigarettes involve trying to quit
smoking, reduce risk, or save
money, though many use them
recreationally.
About 60% of UK users are smokers and roughly
40% are ex-smokers.
An electronic cigarette or e-cigarette is a handheld
electronic device that tries to create the feeling
of tobacco smoking using similar sensory aspects to
that of smoking. . It works by heating a liquid to
generate an aerosol, commonly called a "vapor",
that the user inhales. Using e-cigarettes is
sometimes called vaping. The liquid in the e-
cigarette, called e-liquid, is usually made
of nicotine, propylene glycol, glycerine, and
flavorings. Not all e-liquids contain nicotine.
 Most adult smokers began smoking before they turned 18, and many were addicted at
even younger ages. So why do kids start smoking in the first place?
 Their parents are smokers.
 Peer pressure—their friends encourage them to try cigarettes and to keep smoking.
 They see smoking as a way of rebelling and showing independence.
 They think that everyone else is smoking and that they should, too.
 Tobacco advertising targets teenagers.
 The price is right—in places where low tobacco taxes have kept the price down, it is easier
for kids to get cigarettes
Your Health (As soon as you quit, your body begins to repair the
damage caused by smoking. )
Your Convenience (. Are you tired of having to go outside many
times a day to have a cigarette? )
Your Friends and Family (Cigarette smoke harms everyone who
inhales it, not just the smoker. Whether you're young or old and in
good health or bad, secondhand smoke is dangerous and can
make you sick. )
