Purpose
Earthing systems are required to manage the transfer of fault energy in such a manner as to limit the
risk to people, equipment and system operation to acceptable levels. An earthing system is required
to perform this function for the life of the electrical network for which it is installed, for the range of
configurations of the network and nearby infrastructure that are foreseeable. The earthing system
may need to be augmented over time so as to continue to fulfil this function.
Safety for personnel and public
The earthing system is required to manage any hazardous potential differences to which personnel
or members of the public may be exposed. These potential differences include:
»» touch voltages (including transferred touch voltages)
»» step voltages
»» hand to hand voltages.
These voltages can be present on metallic equipment within substations, associated with substations
or equipment associated with powerlines/cables, or even on non-power system plant items nearby
(and not associated with) the electrical system. The soil potential relative to the metallic equipment
needs to be carefully considered. For a hazardous situation to arise, a power system earth fault must
be coincident with a person being at a location exposed to a consequential hazardous voltage.
The earthing system achieves an acceptable risk of shock for people by equipotential bonding or
isolating the metallic equipment and infrastructure. The earthing system may also involve the use of
insulating barriers to reduce the risk of hazardous potential differences. Earthing systems, while not
actively operating for the majority of time, are 'safety critical' systems in that under fault conditions
they must operate to ensure safety of staff and the public as well as protection of system equipment.
As 'constant supervision' is not usually available (as it is for the phase conductors) deterioration or
damage can remain latent. For this reason the design, installation and maintenance is all the more
critical. Where an earthing system is inadequately designed, poorly installed, or not supervised through
appropriate maintenance it will not reliably operate to provide safety when required to do so. This risk
is not acceptable, as responsible management can generally ensure safety for a reasonable cost.
In all these systems, the power flow of electrical energy takes place through Electrical Substations. An Electrical Substation is an assemblage of electrical components including busbars, switchgear, power transformers, auxiliaries, etc. Basically an electrical substation consists of a number of incoming circuits and outgoing circuits connected to common busbar system. Busbars are conducting bars to which a number of incoming or outgoing circuits are connected. Each circuit has certain electrical components such as circuit-breakers, isolators, earthing switches, current transformers, voltage transformers, etc. These components are connected in a definite sequence such that a circuit can be switched off/on during normal operation by manual/remote command and also automatically during abnormal conditions such as short-circuits. A substation receives electrical power from generating station via incoming transmission lines and delivers electrical power via the outgoing transmission lines. Substations

Elastimold - HV High Voltage Joints, Terminations, Loadbreak & Deadbreak Connectors.
Load Break Elbows
A load break elbow when used with a hot stick can be connected or disconnected at high voltage under load, but can only be used with up to a 250kcmil cable. At 100% insulation level, a 250kcmil is good for 345A in underground duct, so you would be de-rating your system by using a 200A elbow with a 250kcmil cable, but they are still widely used due to the flexibility given to the high voltage distribution system at the equipment. Think about it…if you had a critical application where power disruptions were extremely costly and maintenance was required on up-stream equipment in, let’s say a non critical area, this product would be great. You could disconnect the load without disturbing the critical portions, perform the maintenance and then reconnect it. Just make sure to take safety precautions, making and breaking electrical connections under load is very dangerous. The load break elbow is typically not used in man-holes, because it does not allow expansion like the dead break elbow. The construction of the load break elbow does not allow it to be connected to other elbows, but the dead break does.
Dead Break Elbows
A dead break or “hammerhead” elbow can only be disconnected when not under load, this is because you need to actually unscrew a pin to detach it. It would be pretty tough to unscrew the pin with a hot stick and the arc from the disconnected load, if under load, would be pretty substantial. A dead break elbow allows an increased current rating (up to 600A) and can be used on basically all cable types. At 100% insulation level a 750kcmil cable is rated 610A in underground duct. When would you use a 750kcmil? In most non-utility cases you would design or install sets of 500kcmil or smaller if you needed more than one 500kcmil could handle. Even from a 1200A breaker, two sets of 500kcmil per phase would be sufficient for distribution (about 1000A), if the load was even that high. Most of the time you set the relays down to the actual load in order to limit the copper used. A dead break when used in man-holes for splicing cables allows the flexibility of connecting more than two cables together as well as future expansion if required. Say another building was added that needed power, you could just connect that building to the existing array of dead break elbows. This also works great when temporary power is needed for construction or even if the circus is in town and they need medium voltage (it happens!). They can pick up power from the man-hole with the dead break elbows or from a piece of equipment with dead break elbows. I’ve heard that ships are now starting to use medium voltage shore power, I wonder what kind of connections they use.

Online aptitude test management system project report.pdfKamal Acharya
The purpose of on-line aptitude test system is to take online test in an efficient manner and no time wasting for checking the paper. The main objective of on-line aptitude test system is to efficiently evaluate the candidate thoroughly through a fully automated system that not only saves lot of time but also gives fast results. For students they give papers according to their convenience and time and there is no need of using extra thing like paper, pen etc. This can be used in educational institutions as well as in corporate world. Can be used anywhere any time as it is a web based application (user Location doesn’t matter). No restriction that examiner has to be present when the candidate takes the test.
Every time when lecturers/professors need to conduct examinations they have to sit down think about the questions and then create a whole new set of questions for each and every exam. In some cases the professor may want to give an open book online exam that is the student can take the exam any time anywhere, but the student might have to answer the questions in a limited time period. The professor may want to change the sequence of questions for every student. The problem that a student has is whenever a date for the exam is declared the student has to take it and there is no way he can take it at some other time. This project will create an interface for the examiner to create and store questions in a repository. It will also create an interface for the student to take examinations at his convenience and the questions and/or exams may be timed. Thereby creating an application which can be used by examiners and examinee’s simultaneously.
Examination System is very useful for Teachers/Professors. As in the teaching profession, you are responsible for writing question papers. In the conventional method, you write the question paper on paper, keep question papers separate from answers and all this information you have to keep in a locker to avoid unauthorized access. Using the Examination System you can create a question paper and everything will be written to a single exam file in encrypted format. You can set the General and Administrator password to avoid unauthorized access to your question paper. Every time you start the examination, the program shuffles all the questions and selects them randomly from the database, which reduces the chances of memorizing the questions.

An Approach to Detecting Writing Styles Based on Clustering Techniques
Authors:
-Devkinandan Jagtap
-Shweta Ambekar

Institution:
VIIT Pune, India
Abstract:
This paper proposes a system to differentiate between human-generated and AI-generated texts using stylometric analysis. The system analyzes text files and classifies writing styles by employing various clustering algorithms, such as k-means, k-means++, hierarchical, and DBSCAN. The effectiveness of these algorithms is measured using silhouette scores. The system successfully identifies distinct writing styles within documents, demonstrating its potential for plagiarism detection.
Introduction:
Stylometry, the study of linguistic and structural features in texts, is used for tasks like plagiarism detection, genre separation, and author verification. This paper leverages stylometric analysis to identify different writing styles and improve plagiarism detection methods.
Methodology:
The system includes data collection, preprocessing, feature extraction, dimensional reduction, machine learning models for clustering, and performance comparison using silhouette scores. Feature extraction focuses on lexical features, vocabulary richness, and readability scores. The study uses a small dataset of texts from various authors and employs algorithms like k-means, k-means++, hierarchical clustering, and DBSCAN for clustering.
Results:
Experiments show that the system effectively identifies writing styles, with silhouette scores indicating reasonable to strong clustering when k=2. As the number of clusters increases, the silhouette scores decrease, indicating a drop in accuracy. K-means and k-means++ perform similarly, while hierarchical clustering is less optimized.
Conclusion and Future Work:
The system works well for distinguishing writing styles with two clusters but becomes less accurate as the number of clusters increases. Future research could focus on adding more parameters and optimizing the methodology to improve accuracy with higher cluster values. This system can enhance existing plagiarism detection tools, especially in academic settings.

34. This model is suitable for switching and protecting LV overhead lines, and/or to
include a protection when doing a connection to low voltage underground systems.
The design of this equipment allows the opening and closing of the three phases
simultaneously and independently from the neutral, whichis clearly identifiedto
prevent its disconnection in rigidly landed systems. If required, it can be easily
transformed in a single phase operation switch as the standard model APDM 630.
It can be connected with terminals lugs (APDM630-3) or directly with its connectors
(APDM630-3C).
Each phase and the neutral have an indicator which show if the fuse or the blade
are installed. The closure of the cap allows the switch to be closed withor without
the fuse preventing the risk of leaving live parts exposed.
It can also be provided with a led to show the fusion of the fuses.

Body: Copper alloy
Bolts: steel or stainless steel
Nuts: DIN 934, steel
Surface: uncoated
The clamp was designed to connect two parallel bare conductors.
Conductors can be copper stranded or rods. Material is forged
copper for copper to copper connection throughout the conductor
range. The clamps have serrated transverse grooves for maximum
conductor contact, use copper bolts and utilise Belleville washers
to prevent thermal ratcheting under cyclic loads.
The clamps are coated with an oxide inhibitor. And stainless botls
and nuts with washers was on requirement.
For tap-off connections of copper-conductors acc. to DIN 48201
