• Designed for 50Yr Floods.
• Based on JPS HP5 (Hydrological Procedure 5).
Roadside Drain
• Designed for 1 in 10Yr Return Period.
• Follow JKR Standardized Section dated 15/06/11.

GEOTECHNICAL
Embankment
• Embankment Slope design 1:2.
• Stability of embankment design to FOS >1.25.
• Excavated and replaced method are consider to apply
on possible soft ground replacement.

Cut slope
• Berm height: Maximum no. of berms is 6.
• Cut slope design 1:1.5, stability of cut slope designed to
FOS >1.25.
• If greater than 6 berms: Staggered (Offset 10m).
• Horizontal drains applied to reduce ground water table.
a) 2100 nos. of 12m horizontal drain
b) 250 nos. of 16m horizontal drain
• Guniting and rubber pitching are allowed at possible slope
surface area both quantity are = 38,350m³.
• Geotechnical Report to be resubmitted with minor
amendments. All comments by JKR have been included.

March 2011.

• Total volume of Temporary Earth Drain = 104,500 m3
• Total volume of Gabion Wall (1m×1m×1m) = 60m3

ROAD FURNITURES AND SIGNAGES
• Standard F Shape NJB (TL4) with height 810mm
adopted as per agreed from JKR 16/06/11
• Signboard Size as per agreed :
i. Road Signage : Letter height -250mm
ii. Gantry Signage : Letter height -300mm
iii. Traffic Regulatory : Letter height – 900mm
• SMHB is the coordinator for overall Destination sign for
North Bound direction (Simpang Pelangai to Gua
Musang).

  • 14. DRAINAGE 14 Bridge Crossings • Approved by JPS on 04/11/10. • Designed for 100Yr Floods with minimum 1m freeboard. • Based on JPS HP11 (Hydrological Procedure 11). Culverts • Approved by JPS and JKR on 08/07/11. • Designed for 50Yr Floods. • Based on JPS HP5 (Hydrological Procedure 5). Roadside Drain • Designed for 1 in 10Yr Return Period. • Follow JKR Standardized Section dated 15/06/11.

  • 16. GEOTECHNICAL Embankment • Embankment Slope design 1:2. • Stability of embankment design to FOS >1.25. • Excavated and replaced method are consider to apply on possible soft ground replacement. 16

Cut slope • Berm height: Maximum no. of berms is 6. • Cut slope design 1:1.5, stability of cut slope designed to FOS >1.25. • If greater than 6 berms: Staggered (Offset 10m). • Horizontal drains applied to reduce ground water table. a) 2100 nos. of 12m horizontal drain b) 250 nos. of 16m horizontal drain • Guniting and rubber pitching are allowed at possible slope surface area both quantity are = 38,350m³. • Geotechnical Report to be resubmitted with minor amendments. ENVIRONMENTAL PROTECTION WORKS • Preliminary Environmental Impact Assessment (PEIA) report has been approved on 30th March 2011. • Total no. of Silt Trap = 26 • Total length of Silt Fence = 2000 m (the length not include for maintenance) • Total no. of Sand Bag = 2000 (the no. not include for maintenance) • Total volume of Temporary Earth Drain = 104,500 m3 • Total volume of Gabion Wall (1m×1m×1m) = 60m3 • Total volume of Gabion Wall (2m×1m×1m) = 280m3 • Total no. of Rain Gauge = 2 18 The volume not include for maintenance

Gantry Signage : Letter height -300mm iii. Traffic Regulatory : Letter height – 900mm • SMHB is the coordinator for overall Destination sign for North Bound direction (Simpang Pelangai to Gua Musang). 23
