Kevin Carvalho
   S-(Specific) I will use the elliptical for 40 minutes a day 4
    days a week at the HUB gym
   M-(Measurable) I will measure this by using the
    electronic timer that is built into the machine
   A-(Attainable) This goal is easily attainable because of
    the open schedule I have to work with everyday. I find
    motivation from the results I know I will achieve once
    finished with the goal
   R-(Realistic) This goal is practical because I have been
    able to achieve this goal before
   T-(Timely) This goal will be accomplished over the rest of
    this semester.
   The reason I chose this goal is because it is
    easily achievable with the gym the school
    offers and the hours that it is open.

   The steps I used to accomplish this goal were
    relatively easy to do. I have a lot of morning
    classes so it leaves me a lot time in the
    afternoon to go to the gym and run on the
    elliptical. Some of my roommates also go to
    the gym so easy to get motivated.

   I was pretty steady through the first few
    weeks of the program going one hour a
    day, three days a week.
    Half way through I started to slow down and
    not go to the gym more than once a week so
    for the following two weeks I went five times
    a week.
   I finished strong with three hours a week for
    the final two weeks
   I went to the gym every Monday, Wednesday
    and Thursday for one hour a day for the first
    few weeks and went everyday of the week for
    the weeks that I had five hours.

   The times I did not achieve my goal is when I
    had too much homework do or when I was
    just unmotivated to go.
   My roommates definitely impacted me as
    both enablers and inhibitors

   During the week nights and weekends
    someone is drinking a few beers and its more
    fun to hangout than go to the gym so that
    would sometimes inhibit me from going

   Sometimes my roommates also go to the gym
    so that helps motivate me
   I feel that my goal was achieved I lost some
    weight and I’m in a more healthy lifestyle now

   I will continue this lifestyle after the class is
    over from the motivation I’ve gotten from it

   Now that I’ve completed this goal I can
    increase my goals to lose more weight
