Machine Learning

The purpose of this class is to introduce you to the theories, assumptions, and practices underlying the use of qualitative research in education. In the tradition of survey courses, this class examines the broad history, concepts, and themes that distinguish multiple methods of qualitative research, specifically as they relate to education research. Students will study, practice, and reflect on different qualitative research methodologies and consider the components and challenges faced when engaging in qualitative research methods. Each student will design and conduct his/her own qualitative study. Issues related to data collection, negotiating access to the field, ethics, and representation will be of particular importance. While it is not assumed that you will gain a comprehensive, rich understanding of any one particular qualitative research tradition over the trajectory of the course, it is expected that upon completion you will acquire the foundational knowledge and experience to begin evaluating, selecting, and defending appropriate qualitative methods for use in your own future research projects.

An Automatic Question Paper Generation : Using Bloom's Taxonomy
This document presents a system for automatically generating exam questions and categorizing them according to Bloom's Taxonomy. It uses natural language processing techniques like part-of-speech tagging to analyze questions and identify keywords and verbs. Rules are developed to match question patterns and keywords to the appropriate Bloom's Taxonomy category. A randomization algorithm is also introduced to randomly select questions from the database and avoid repetitions. The prosecution lost the Michael Jackson trial due to several key mistakes and weaknesses in their case:
1) The lead prosecutor, Thomas Sneddon, was too personally invested in the case against Jackson, having pursued him for over a decade without success.
2) Sneddon's opening statement was disorganized and weak, failing to effectively outline the prosecution's case.
3) The accuser's mother was not credible and damaged the prosecution's case through her erratic testimony, history of lies and con artist behavior.
4) Many prosecution witnesses were not credible due to prior lawsuits against Jackson, debts owed to him, or having been fired by him. Several witnesses even took the Fifth Amendment.
