INTRODUCTION
• SKILL- Ability to do something that comes from training ,experience
and practice etc.
• YOUTH- Person between adolescence and maturity.
• JOB- The work that person does regularly in order to earn money.
• LOGO –Skill India logo suggest that both Skill and General Education
are at parity and aspirational for India's youth .
• KAUSHAL BHARAT,KUSHAL BHARAT- Happy ,Healthy,
Prosperous and strong nation through skilling India.
• India homeland for 17.5 % of total population of the globe.
• 65% of total population in India is under 35 years.
• Indigenous products- handicraft, handloom, textile, herbs
and similar product.
•INDIA with 2.4% existent land mass of total.
•Just 3.5% of the country’s workforce is skilled as against the
global average of 40 to 50%.
•SKILL INDIA basis of make in India.
INDIA’S DEMOGRAPHIC DIVIDEND
INDIA to become world’s youngest country
by 2020 (average age of 29 years).
64% of INDIA’S population to be in the age
group of 15-59 years by 2026.
1.5 crore youth join job market every year,
but only 2% gets trained.
PM Narendra Modi launches SKILL INDIA on the occasion of world
youth skill day.18000 plus ITI graduating students received job offers
letters on the occasion of world youth skill day and sets target to
provide skill training to 40.02 crore people.
SKILL INDIA MISSION (SIM)
1. National Skill Mission Development
2. National Policy for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship 2015
3. Pradhan Mantri Kausal Vikas Yojana (PMKVY)- Over the next year 24 lakh youth
will skill.
4. Skill Loan Scheme -5000 to 1,50,000 for 34 lakhs youth
of India seeking to attend skill development programme
over the next 5 years.
FLAGSHIP OF SKILL INDIA
Special campus are being organized at 100 locations with Nehru Yuva Kendra
Sangathan .
Special SMS Campaign is being rolled out to build awareness of the programme
reaching out 40 crore subscribers.
PM Modi presented industry job offer letters to five female ITI graduates at the
event.
SKILL CARDS and CERTIFICATES awarded to trainees who had recently
completed training through the pilot phase of PMKVY, started in may.

•World class infrastructure is mandatory.
