AVON Valley College in Durrington is for stu-
dents aged 11-19 years.
Principal Mark Avoth said: “Avon Valley is a
very successful college. The quality of learn-
ing and teaching is at the centre of any col-
lege’s success and I am delighted with the
recent excellent examination results and
Ofsted inspection which graded the college
‘good’ with ‘outstanding’ features.
“Our facilities are exceptional, with a new
sports hall, five ICT rooms, a fully-equipped
fitness centre, an impressive on-site voca-
tional provision and extensive grounds. I
would encourage any prospective parents to
visit the college during our open mornings in
October on Tuesdays and Thursdays from
9am -10.30am.

THE motto at Test Valley School is:

Headteacher Louisa Hiscock
said: “We have high expectations of
our pupils and ourselves. We are
very proud of our school and believe
we have much to offer.
“Our commitment is to keep mov-
ing forward as we want the best for
your children, our pupils. We are
working hard to support them to
succeed. Ofsted graded the school
as ‘good’ across the board in 2013
confirming that ‘standards are ris-
ing, teaching is good and becoming
better’.
“We are delighted with our
improving GCSE results, with 65 per
cent of pupils securing five or more
A*-C grades including English and
mathematics.
“In mathematics 81 per cent
achieved A*-C grades and 74 per
cent achieved A*-C grades in
English. Both these subjects
achieved significantly above nation-
al averages.
“We believe our school is special
and the reasons speak for them-
selves when you visit.
“As a small school we provide a
stable, caring environment with
every pupil known and valued.
“We promote high standards of
behaviour and are committed to
providing outstanding levels of care,
guidance and support.
“We want our pupils to enjoy
coming to school and to achieve.
Our aim is for them to succeed as
independent, adaptable and confi-
dent learners.
“Our curriculum is carefully
planned to promote achievement
and foster a life-long enjoyment of
learning. We offer a rich and diverse
learning experience with a strong
emphasis on developing individual
skills and talents. This includes a

and experiences.
“Ofsted confirmed that ‘the range

WYVERN College is a happy, dynamic and
successful school, nurturing students to

untary aided, Church of England secondary
school for boys, in the wonderful location of
Laverstock on the eastern edge of Salisbury.
Smaller classes have supported us in per-
sonalising learning judged to be good by
Ofsted and with strong examination results,
comparing favourably with other schools
both locally and nationally.

pare young people for success in a fast-

Principal Mark Avoth said: “Avon Valley is a very successful college. The quality of learn- ing and teaching is at the centre of any col- lege’s success and I am delighted with the recent excellent examination results and Ofsted inspection which graded the college ‘good’ with ‘outstanding’ features. “Our facilities are exceptional, with a new sports hall, five ICT rooms, a fully-equipped fitness centre, an impressive on-site voca- tional provision and extensive grounds. I would encourage any prospective parents to visit the college during our open mornings in October on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 9am -10.30am. If you are unable to attend at these times, contact Mrs Lorna Redgrave on 01980 634871 for an alternative appointment. “I am extremely proud of the college, our staff and students and I would be delighted to meet prospective parents and students and show them around,” said Mr Avoth. Head students and prefects at Test Valley School THE motto at Test Valley School is: “In pursuit of personal excellence”. Headteacher Louisa Hiscock said: “We have high expectations of our pupils and ourselves. We are very proud of our school and believe we have much to offer. “Our commitment is to keep mov- ing forward as we want the best for your children, our pupils. We are working hard to support them to succeed. Ofsted graded the school as ‘good’ across the board in 2013 confirming that ‘standards are ris- ing, teaching is good and becoming better’. “We are delighted with our improving GCSE results, with 65 per cent of pupils securing five or more A*-C grades including English and mathematics. “In mathematics 81 per cent achieved A*-C grades and 74 per cent achieved A*-C grades in English. Both these subjects achieved significantly above nation- al averages. “We believe our school is special and the reasons speak for them- selves when you visit. “As a small school we provide a stable, caring environment with every pupil known and valued. “We promote high standards of behaviour and are committed to providing outstanding levels of care, guidance and support. “We want our pupils to enjoy coming to school and to achieve. Our aim is for them to succeed as independent, adaptable and confi- dent learners. “Our curriculum is carefully planned to promote achievement and foster a life-long enjoyment of learning. We offer a rich and diverse learning experience with a strong emphasis on developing individual skills and talents.
