OUR VISION
To be a world-class school that provides the
best education in the formative years by
blending culture and curriculum and using
modern technological tools, taught by our
highly qualified faculty to deliver the best
citizens of the world.
OUR MISSION
Since its establishment, the primary aim of
Sydney International School has been to
provide a platform that would help students
realize their potential and become leaders
of tomorrow.

Index
The Sydney International School is pleased to offer international education from
Play Group to A Level and has operated since 2012. Our school is well-known for
providing progressive education and is an accredited member of Cambridge
International Examinations. The founding Principal, Mr. Robert John Thompson,
is an Australian citizen. He trained the teachers to use the activity-based
teaching methodology. Under the guidance of our skilled education consultants
our teachers have received a variety of teaching techniques. Under his
supervision, we started offering our students Cambridge Primary and Secondary
Checkpoint O & A Level Examinations.
Our school believes that the most valuable skill for the future is the ability to live,
work and interact in a multicultural environment. In SIS, Bangladeshi and
foreign students learn and live together in an environment that is friendly,
culturally diverse, and intellectually rich and stimulating. SIS provides our
students with a wide range of opportunities to expand their knowledge of each
other’s cultures and develop skills to overcome differences towards shared
goals. We pursue this commitment because we believe that diversity creates
the best educational environment needed to shape the world.
Ultimately, the Board of Directors are here to ensure all children make the best
possible progress and have an enjoyable experience during their time at school.
For business and research reasons, I frequently travel to different destinations to
observe how schools run and provide facilities to their students. I implement this
experience to ensure that SIS provides international quality through continuous
development. I have travelled to the USA, UK, France, Singapore, Vietnam,
Thailand, China, India, Papua-New-Guinea, New Zealand, Turkey, Japan, Ireland,
Switzerland, and some other countries on official school visits, including Schools
in Australia, where I live.
You are welcome to visit our school.
Thanks for your continued support to SIS.

We make learning fun by focusing on teaching
students to not just ‘know’, but ‘experience’ through
its activity-based learning method.
Our facilities include well-maintained and air-
conditioned classrooms with collaborative spaces, a
library, an art and music room, indoor and outdoor
sports, a playground, a canteen, a laboratory, high-
security cameras, qualified, experienced teachers, an
IT lab, special needs education room, multimedia
room, AC buses and so on. At Sydney International
School, we don’t just teach students, we nurture
excellent global citizens thereby making “A bridge to
the future...”
We are very focused on using the activity-
based method of teaching our students.
The teaching-learning environment is
positive, inclusive, and stimulating to
support the guidelines of the curriculum.
SIS technology equips the teachers with
a range of various digital resources to
adapt the curriculum to meet the
aptitude of each child and cater to their
individual needs. Our assessments and
evaluations help the teachers judge and
evaluate the true levels of learning. The
process also results in the self-
improvement of teachers and efficiency
towards teaching.

My extensive experience includes Primary and Secondary roles
in teaching and administration in Australia, Papua New Guinea
and Bangladesh, 15 missions to Indonesia for the Indonesian
Government Pendidikan to train officials in method and school
development, and 3 consultancies across Indonesia for the
World Bank.
In 2012-14 I was able to use my skills to support to develop the
Sydney International School.
Since then, I have maintained interest and attachment to the
school and assisted SIS's vision of an activity-based learning
centre.
I am pleased to continue association with SIS, as Executive
Principal and to commit to on-site consultancy roles.
This will enable staff to continue training and development in
activity-based learning and teaching methods, conduct topical
workshops for parents and teachers, and assess school
development programs and directions.

PRINCIPAL
I am delighted to extend a warm welcome to Sydney International School. Our
school’s purpose is to educate our students to take their place as leaders in the
global community. We provide a comprehensive education from Playgroup to
A Level.
Our school values stress the importance of trust, respect, innovation and a
sense of community. I know that the development of the school for the past
few years has been significant. The future will build on this firm foundation,
and focus on the quality of school life, especially for the benefit of our learners.
We believe every learner is unique and special learners are continually
encouraged to appreciate our diverse community, care for others by becoming
global citizens, and develop a concern and active respect for the environment.
We strongly believe in the importance of teachers’ parents and administrators
collaborating and communicating openly and frequently. We continually
improve the quality of tools of communication including giving our parents
access to an interactive session where they can retrieve pertinent information
about their children's academic achievement. We look forward to serving you
and your children over the coming years.
Interested parents are encouraged to conduct our school and ask any
questions they may have regarding our school and the programmes we offer.
I have been a teacher, counsellor, EYES manager, also early years curriculum
developer for the past 22 years with experience in the education field in the UK
and in Bangladesh. I started in the UK and achieved many teaching
qualifications from the UK’s well-known universities and colleges. Additionally,
I have experience in special needs education, autism, phonics, effective
teaching and learning, and extra curricular activities.

VALUES IN OUR
TEACHING METHOD
Activity-based learning, also known as experiential
learning, is an educational approach that emphasizes
active engagement, hands-on experiences, and practical
application of knowledge. This method shifts the focus
from passive listening and note-taking to active
participation and meaningful interactions. It aims to
enhance understanding, critical thinking, problem-
solving skills, and retention of information.

ENVIRONMENT
12
A good time in school is a tapestry woven
with laughter, curiosity, and discovery. It's
the joy of friendships forged during recess
games, the spark of understanding that
lights up in a classroom discussion, and
the thrill of learning something new each
day. It's the comfort of a teacher's
encouragement and the triumph of
solving a challenging problem. A good
time in school is not just about books and
lessons; it's about the moments that
shape us, the bonds that grow, and the
memories that linger long after the final
bell.
GOOD TIMES!

  • 3. The Sydney International School is pleased to offer international education from Play Group to A Level and has operated since 2012. Our school is well-known for providing progressive education and is an accredited member of Cambridge International Examinations. The founding Principal, Mr. Robert John Thompson, is an Australian citizen. He trained the teachers to use the activity-based teaching methodology. Under the guidance of our skilled education consultants our teachers have received a variety of teaching techniques. Under his supervision, we started offering our students Cambridge Primary and Secondary Checkpoint O & A Level Examinations. Our school believes that the most valuable skill for the future is the ability to live, work and interact in a multicultural environment. In SIS, Bangladeshi and foreign students learn and live together in an environment that is friendly, culturally diverse, and intellectually rich and stimulating. SIS provides our students with a wide range of opportunities to expand their knowledge of each other’s cultures and develop skills to overcome differences towards shared goals. We pursue this commitment because we believe that diversity creates the best educational environment needed to shape the world. Ultimately, the Board of Directors are here to ensure all children make the best possible progress and have an enjoyable experience during their time at school. For business and research reasons, I frequently travel to different destinations to observe how schools run and provide facilities to their students. I implement this experience to ensure that SIS provides international quality through continuous development. I have travelled to the USA, UK, France, Singapore, Vietnam, Thailand, China, India, Papua-New-Guinea, New Zealand, Turkey, Japan, Ireland, Switzerland, and some other countries on official school visits, including Schools in Australia, where I live. You are welcome to visit our school. Thanks for your continued support to SIS. FOUNDER CHAIRMAN MYNUL MRIDHA WELCOME TO SIS KAJI JASIKA JARIN DIRECTOR MYNUL MRIDHA FOUNDER CHAIRMAN

It's the joy of friendships forged during recess games, the spark of understanding that lights up in a classroom discussion, and the thrill of learning something new each day. It's the comfort of a teacher's encouragement and the triumph of solving a challenging problem. A good time in school is not just about books and lessons; it's about the moments that shape us, the bonds that grow, and the memories that linger long after the final bell. GOOD TIMES! 13
