This document outlines an ambitious project called "Children as Change Agents for Science and Society" that aims to mainstream science and society activities through practical guidelines and political support processes. The project seeks new ways to listen to children and have their voices influence policymaking, particularly within universities. It will be structured into 10 work packages and kicked off with events in Liverpool in February 2011.

2. SiS Catalyst: Children as Change Agents for Science and Society This ambitious project questions fundamental relationships between ourselves and our future. On one level this is about mainstreaming SiS activities through the dual approach of practical and easy delivery guidelines and support, directly linked to a political process we called Pan European Benchmarking and Mutual Agreement . Both of these are required to embed the concept of institutional learning from children. On another level this project is about transformation. It is about finding new ways to listen to children, as the future of this world, finding ways for their voices to be heard within the policy making of our institutions, and in particular our universities. Seeking together to find ways that children can be Catalysts for Change.
